I am very happy I paid the extra cost to get the double-wall stove pipe. I recommend everyone who installs a wood stove, new or used, to pay the extra amount necessary for the "double-wall" stove pipe, INSTEAD of the single-wall stove pipe, which is far cheaper. Simpson Dura-Vent is a excellent brand, but, shop around. The prices can vary by a lot, if you do not do your research and compare. In the long run, you will feel safer and calmer, if you do. Note that it is mandatory to get double-wall if you live in a Mobile home, whether or not you have house insurance. And, always purchase "triple-wall" for your chimney pipe (for the outside of your house). You need that extra protection. Please strive for safety; not for saving an additional thirty dollars or so, OK? Thank you. ... show more

    • Good but can be tough for small rooms
Overall I'm happy with this pipe. I would love to see these improvements be made. 1. It would be much better if one of the 36" sections was expandable, or maybe both a 36" and the 12". Because it wasn't, I ended up having to cut down the 12" section. Between my stove and the 12" section is maybe 1" of single-wall pipe. It was a pretty big pain to make this work but I did. 2. I'd like to see a section of single-wall pipe included with the kit. You'll need this to connect the outlet from your stove to the 12" expandable double-wall pipe in this kit. 3. This system should have a damper. They sell a separate damper but it's not really compatible with this kit as it goes in the same spot that the 12" expandable section is supposed to go. ... show more

    • Misleading picture. And nonsense parts included
The smaller adapter seen in the photo, is must have in order to connect bit to the Wall thimble. What the kit comes with are 2 x 24" double wall pipes. 1 x 12" double wall pipe. 1 single chrome adapter that while it connects to thimbble, won't connect to the douple wall pipes. And there's 1 single wall adapter that compromises and ruin the whole setup for being single wall and has no place between stove and thimbe. The part missing is on the product photo and model number should be 6DVL-ADT but is not included. Be aware! ... show more

I ordered a stove pipe kit and was waiting for the installer to have time to install it. When he opened the box, he found this piece seriously damaged. By the time this occurred, my date for returns had expired. I disagree with the fact that I cannot return the product and at least get a partial refund. ... show more

    • DOES NOT have the DVL adaptor
I ordered this kit because the photos and description state this has the DVL adaptor and 3 pieces of DVL pipe. The kit arrived, and I was finally able to start my install, so I thought. The kit did have the 3 DVL pipes, but DID NOT contain the DVL adaptor! The parts that came were the insert and skirt for single wall pipe! I have now lost 2 weeks of work between waiting for this kit to arrive, returning it and ordering the correct parts that should have been in the kit! ... show more
