Perhaps I didn't read all the description of this product before purchasing, because I was disappointed when it arrived and it was all plastic. It did come with metal screws to attach, which was better than the heavier one it replaced which had plastic screws that didn't want to come apart. It was easy to install and looks and functions fine. I find that "quiet-close" means that you have to push it down yourself, as it won't go down unless pushed. But hey, at least it is better than my kids dropping the heavier ones and it sound like everything is breaking. ... show more

I like the toilet seat, but the nuts and bolts do not tighten at all just spin. I had to use the old nut and bolt off the old toilet seat to fit the new seat.

DO NOT OPEN TILL YOU ARE SURE THIS FITS YOUR SEAT. Use the side ruler provided and thats it. It is easy to install. The old seat got scratched up from the toddler seat attachment. This replacement was perfect
