After months of research, I decided to bite the bullet and buy this. Here's why I bought it and why I love it: 1. Compared to a steam sauna, infrared saunas have more health benefits, and they are more comfortable in general. Where a steam sauna heats the air (usually through coal), which then heats your body, an infrared sauna heats your body directly. This means the heat penetrates your body more effectively, and, because the benefits of sauna occur at a cellular level, this effectiveness translates into great health benefits. Plus, a steam sauna creates that thick hot that that is heard to breathe, while an infrared sauna skips the step of heating the air. There have been a flood of recent studies, most coming out of Scandinavia, about the health benefits of infrared sauna, and the results are absolutely insane - do some digging and check them out. You can also learn about infrared sauna benefits through podcasts - just search it on a podcast app; I like the Ben Greenfield episodes related to the topic. 2. The low EMF component of this sauna is important. By conservative measures, EMF is still a "contested" topic in the health world - some people think it's not a big deal, other people think it's responsible for a whole host of modern ills. Do your own research and make up your own mind. For me, I'd rather err on the side of safety and avoid stepping into a huge EMF field, which these kind of plug-in saunas often create. 3. The size and portability of this thing can't be beat. I rent, and I move relatively often, so a clunky wooden sauna was out of the question. This thing folds up neatly and is very lightweight. Plus, because it is a sleek black and fits the aesthetics of my current place, and because I use it every day, I usually just leave it fully assembled rather than fold and unfold it daily. 4. TIPS! (a) Some people said the included chair was big enough for them. I felt that the chair was very small and very uncomfortable. No big deal - I just bought another one. After contacting the seller, I was informed that the metal components will get hot, so I just needed to buy a folding chair in which the metal components wouldn't touch my skin (for example, ones with metal arm rests). I ended up going with the Marchway Ultralight Folding Camping Chair after doing my due diligence about dimensions - obviously, you need one that will fit inside the sauna, that won't get too close to the heaters on the walls, and that will allow your head to comfortably peek through the top. (b) You need to be taking a multi-mineral and a healthy salt if you are using a sauna regularly, because you lose trace minerals and salt when you sweat this deeply. I went with Thorne's Multi-Vitamin Multi-Mineral, which has all necessarily trace minerals, and with Ava Kitchen's Colima Salt, which is one of the few salts without microplastics. (c) Step up your skincare game when you start using this. Obviously, your skin is the main mechanism by which you are detoxing here, so you might break out a bit when you begin regular use, after which you will glow, as skin generally reflects what is going on in your body. Clay masks are good to get the facial oil under control, and you may want to consider an anti-bacterial wash for your body in addition to your regular soap. All in all, this thing is a game-changer. If you're already going to a spa/sauna multiple times a year, it pays for itself. Either way, it is worth the investment. Do your homework so you feel comfortable footing the bill, and take the necessary measures to maximize the health benefits. ... show more

My intention buying this was to use the portable aspect to take it up and down as needed, but it’s not super sturdy so I’m going to clear a space in my closet to keep it always up and away from our pets. It gets warm - not hot but warm. I choose to sit enclosed in it. I’m only 5’4” with a short torso and the only place I can sit with my back fully straight is under the head hole. From other reviews I thought there would be more room My husband has nerve pain in his hip and needs to sit with his leg at a slightly expanded angle. Another inch or two would make this much easier on him. All in all a good product - a stop gap until you can save up to get a nice permanent one built. ... show more

So what do I think.... Well, I'm sitting in this thing as I type this... It's low end sauna average. Very low end I may add. Don't buy this thinking you will get LA Fitness quality. I bought this because of COVID and attempting to qurantine myself from catching the virus plus also to cancel my gym membership. When I started my research, I noticed EMF EMF EMF. What being said, I knew I wanted the best travel sauna I could buy with low EMF so I went with this. I'm happy for that. The set up was easy and straightforward because it was basically already put to gather. I'm happy with that also. After playing with the controls, (read the instructions) the heat came on. Eeeh... It's definitely not the hottest sauna I have ever sat in. I guess I shouldn't have expected that for what I paid for it but still... I wish it got hotter. The heating element seem to be more around the top of the box so when you do start to sweat, your upper body will sweat first. I have been sitting in here for almost 30 minutes now and my legs are still cold. My upper body is getting a good sweat now so it DOES WORK, just wish it got a but more hotter. The chair position is not the best based where the hole for your head is. Meaning there is about 3 inches from the back of the box to where the back of your neck would be. This causes you to scoot the chair forward just to get in proper position for your head placement. Good thing I'm not very tall because right now, my knees are hitting the front of the box. Overall, it works. Am I happy with my purchase?!? Well I'm not returning it because it's doing more than what I had before which was nothing. Am I happy for the price that I paid? Eeeh. I'm more glad that I was in the position to purchase what I wanted at the time however its not totally what I was expecting BUT... it does work! Thats all I ask for. ... show more

I am loving my durasage personal sauna. It heats up quickly within 10 mins. For reference, I am 6 feet tall and do find that it’s just a tad small for me. I am also looking for a different chair for it as the one provided doesn’t offer much back support.

I bought this after extensive research on portable infrared saunas. Essentially, i bought this because it was not a microwave. I am very happy with my purchase and get a ton of regular use out of it. It WORKS, i sweat buckets and feel good/relieved whenever I use it. The only thing is, this is very very uncomfortable for a tall person, I'm 5'9. The chair it comes with it useless to me. I had to go out and find a tiny wooden chair from a thrift store so my spine actually felt supported and the back of the neck hole wasn't digging into my cervical spine. This thing is not remotely as comfortable as it would be to just go sit with your back against the wall in a traditional or larger sauna. However, I do quite enjoy going all the way inside and sitting on a pile of towels cross legged. I find that really quiets the mind. Pretty much the only reason I'm not in this on a daily basis is because I wish there was some kind of neck support when you're using a chair in there. But that's just me. ... show more
