Had to do a little bit of troubleshooting when the heater arrived since it wouldn't turn on. One of the spark plugs had come unplugged during shipping but once that was taken care of, this fired right up. I use this heater in my detached, uninsulated two-car garage during winter. It heats up the garage from 15 degrees to 50 degrees within minutes. We keep our home gym out there and in about 20 minutes I'm sweating and having to take off layers. I use Klean Strip Kerosene 1k and it does have a pretty strong kerosene odor. I would recommend cracking a window or door while running the heater to help vent the room. It is also smart to keep a carbon monoxide detector around, and maybe a fire extinguisher just in case. ... show more

Have owned this heater for a little over a year. Use it to heat an non-insulated 16 x 20 shop building. Has worked great so far and only have to run it about 15 minutes before it gets a little too warm inside. Shut it off and fire it back up again in 30 minutes or so when the temp drops. Biggest issue I had was using regular Diesel fuel from the pump (due to lower cost) that caused headaches after use. Switched recently to K-1 kerosene and the difference in both fumes and smell and after affects is noticeable. In my area, K-1 costs nearly twice as much per gallon, but is worth it to me since I only use it a couple times per week. It's a great little heater no matter which fuel you use. ... show more

Bought this heater last winter for use in a outdoor carwash situation where employees are standing outside in the cold (30-40F). This unit made the slight cold snaps we get in New Orleans more bearable. It held up to constant use 8+ hours a day on cold days with no sign of wear after being used for four months. I'd definitely buy it again if I needed to, but it's still in great condition, looks almost brand new, and I expect it will last many winters here. ... show more

This heater works great! Right out of the box, fueled it, plugged it in add pressed the "On" switch. A few seconds later the thing started heating like my own personal jet engine. In fact, a lot like a jet engine. I am being careful with the Co2 issue but with the door and a window / vent open it heated my 12 x 20 shop from 40 to 65 in about 20 minutes. This unit works very well. I have a 2 car garage in which I created our workout space. The heater definitely warms the area up quickly in about 15mins. Ofcourse there is not much you can do about the smell, burning kerosene just has a bad odor. The tank is very big and with using it sparingly to heat the area the fuel has lasted several weeks now. Bought this for my garage during the winter, used it all winter using diesel and kerosene, I personally think it runs better on diesel which is good for the fuel prices, had no issues with it and I would highly recommend

Have had this unit for a couple years, worked right out of the box.. Use regular diesel and it takes the chill off my 24 x 46 garage with 12 foot celling within half hour.. This unit has raised the Temperature to about 50 degrees when the air temperature is 20 degrees.. I would buy another one if this one should die.. ... show more
