We bought this ice maker for our RV because we have very little space, a tiny freezer but use a lot of ice. We were buying bags of ice each week and started reading reviews on ice makers instead. We've been using this one for about 3 days now and so far we are very happy with it. It set up in minutes. We ran water through it as instructed first on the cleaning cycle, filled it with filtered water, chose large cubes and within minutes we had ice. The ice is clean, odor and taste free and frozen solid. It's relatively quiet which is important in our small space. As long as it holds up overtime we'll continue to be happy. It's small and compact and looks neat on the counter. It feels solid and sturdy. **UPDATE!** It's been almost a year now and the ice maker is still going strong! Zero problems. It pretty much runs all day and we turn it off at night or when we go away. I just keep it clean and it's doing fine.

Ice machine works great! I was impressed with the quality,ease of use. Nice Ice size ,a little bit slow in production of ice so I make ice the day before if I need a lot for the next day. Machine looks good on counter top. Easy to use!

The media could not be loaded. This countertop ice maker is really convenient, especially if your fridge doesn’t make enough ice. It starts pretty fast and makes small batches quickly, so it’s nice for daily drinks, guests, or keeping up during a small get-together. I like that you can choose between two ice sizes, and the unit itself looks decent on the counter without taking up too much space. Setup was easy, and the self-cleaning function is a useful extra. The scoop and basket are nice to have too. The ice comes out in that bullet style, which works well for water, soda, and iced coffee. It’s also easy enough to move around if you want to use it in a kitchen, office, or even an RV. The main downside is that it does make noticeable noise while running, and the storage area is more of a holding bin than a freezer, so the ice can melt if you leave it sitting. Still, for quick fresh ice on demand, it works well overall.

We didn’t add a water line to our refrigerator. We chose not to because on two separate occasions, friends of ours didn’t know their water line to their refrigerator had split until their respective floors were floating. As such, we were buying ice at the store every other week. We were visiting my cousins in France who used a similar ice maker. When we got home, we bought this model. It fits nicely on our kitchen countertop, is easy to use, has two ice cube sizes to choose from, has performed admirably, is easy to wipe down after using, and is compact enough to place in our hallway closet. The noise while operating is minimal. It alerts you if it is full, is empty, or needs water. We believe it was a good buy for our needs.

It would seem that I share a common problem with people on this item. I purchased this unit back in Febuary, and it worked fine up until now. I began to notice that the unit was creating a slimy discharge, so I hit the cleaning function several times and cleaned the water basin with soapy water. Added new, clean water, hit clean again, drained and dried it, added fresh water. The slime returned about a week later. Next new thing to happen....I would turn it off at night to conserve energy since it would not be in use. Upon waking up, the unit turned itself on...weird, but ok. It did this regularly as time progressed, to the point where I wouldnjust unplug it to make sure it stayed off. And now, the best part. The unit started making these clicking sounds when the compressor fired up or when it would pump water. It would click several times, the compressor would shut down, and the restart would begin over and over. I thought that maybe it was overheating due to the fact that it was near my radiator, so I moved it to a different location. After waiting 40 minutes to be sure it cooled down, I turned it back on...it started clicking again, then all of the lights on the display lit up and the large ice cube light started to flash off and on. At this point, I am thoroughly fed up and just decided to use the ice maker on my fridge. Customer service is a joke...don't even try to contact them, for only an act of God would yield any results. Save your money by buying from someone else.

Great addition. Replaced my fridge that didn't come with an ice maker as i wanted bigger freezer space-works great for about a year now. First ice drops in 5 minutes, full in an hour-great for entertaining-suggest if more than 10 guest to put ice in freezer bag for extra stash. When full has enough ice for 4-5 cocktails. Perfect for me, i live alone. Note: i haven't used any ice for about a week and ice is still ready to go! Ice does dtick together sometimes, i just tap it with the scoop.

I bought a Frigidaire nugget ice maker at costco..... I was so happy! I unboxed it, it was HUUUGEEEEE, too big.. on the box it said that it was a fast ice maker... that it was quiet... it was nothing it claimed to be!! It was a huge disappointment! I immediately went on Amazon and started comparing machines.. I thought this one was smaller and cute and had promise! It freaking delivered! It actually is MUCH faster, much better size and a lot quieter than the more popular brand Frigidaire! Good job. The ice has a nice crunch!
