Style: Bullet Ice Maker
I've only had this for a couple weeks, and so far nothing negative. This machine rocks as follows: -Love the stainless steel, sleek design. Matches everything in my kitchen. Machine is taller than I realized, so be sure you've factored in spacing required for going under cabinets in kitchen, or put in open space with nothing above it. Mine fits comfortably under a cabinet. -Performs as expected. Inside stays clean. We use purified water only for ice cubes, which reduces and even eliminates staining. No smell inside or out. -Super easy to start and stop. You're only going to be using the start and select buttons. That's it. Easy to clean and wipe down. Water resistant. -Not super loud. Pretty minimal IMO. -Creates ice pretty quick but allow it to go through several cycles of you want more ice. -To prevent ice from melting once dispensed in basket, I scoop it out immediately and put it in a Ziploc freezer bag. Each time ice is dispensed I do it again. Pull the bag out of the freezer and repeat process...scoop ice in, seal and put back in freezer. This way we have a whole gallon size bag full of ice in the freezer ready to be used that same day or next day. This does mean you'd have to be on standby, but I love doing it this way. Ice generally doesn't freeze together either making it difficult to break apart once in freezer. When I put the full bag of ice in my freezer, I lay it flat so there's no ice clumps. Easy peasy. The only negative thing IMO is that this product doesn't come with a magnetic strip or fixture of some kind to be able to keep the white scoop stored on the side when not in use. Not a deal breaker, though...my husband and I plan on investing in one just to keep the scooper off the counter. I usually sit it on top of the machine where the window is. Still a 5 star product.

This makes AMAZING "good ice" relatively quickly and takes up very little counterspace. The pricier options are both larger and cost a fortune so I was very happy with this. Unfortunately, it began leaking from the pump at the bottom after a little over a month. Fortunately, we contacted chefman customer service and they sent a replacement immediately and sent the friendliest reply email, even referencing the frustration our dog must be suffering without his on-demand ice (he was in the background of the video we sent them of the problem). 15/10 for customer service!

We bought this ice maker for our RV because we have very little space, a tiny freezer but use a lot of ice. We were buying bags of ice each week and started reading reviews on ice makers instead. We've been using this one for about 3 days now and so far we are very happy with it. It set up in minutes. We ran water through it as instructed first on the cleaning cycle, filled it with filtered water, chose large cubes and within minutes we had ice. The ice is clean, odor and taste free and frozen solid. It's relatively quiet which is important in our small space. As long as it holds up overtime we'll continue to be happy. It's small and compact and looks neat on the counter. It feels solid and sturdy. **UPDATE!** It's been almost a year now and the ice maker is still going strong! Zero problems. It pretty much runs all day and we turn it off at night or when we go away. I just keep it clean and it's doing fine.

Buyer beware. Decided to buy a countertop ice maker to have additional ice for cook-outs and family gatherings. Did not want to take a risk on one of the less expensive models due to reliability concerns so opted for what I assumed to be a more robust and reliable unit considering the 2-3X price point. Also purchased this particular unit due to many positive reviews. Unfortunately I received a defective machine. I understand it happens occasionally. After unboxing (packaged well, no visible damage) and reading instructions, I left unit upright and level for a few hours before operating. The user manual advised to clean the unit, check drain plug, fill with water to max line, then prime by starting the clean cycle. Everything was fine up to this point. When I pressed the button to run the clean cycle, water flooded out of the base of unit. The drain plug was secure and dry. Although I didn’t disassemble the machine, I assume a faulty pump or hose or something. It only leaks when running clean cycle, but leaks profusely. It flooded the countertop within seconds (see pic) However, the lack of customer service is primarily what prompted this negative review. If you have this machine and it works as well as many reviews claim, that’s great. If you ever need customer service, good luck. In the user manual it states to contact them directly with any issues. So, reluctantly I contacted them rather than initiating a return through Amazon. After sitting on hold for an hour I finally got connected to a rep that took all my information and advised how to proceed. She sent me an email with detailed instructions on sending pics and videos and model number, etc. I responded to email immediately with all the required information. And in order to provide video to show what machine was doing, I had to set it up outside to keep from flooding the kitchen again. Our phone call led me to believe it would be a quick and easy process and the unit would be replaced immediately. After all, I had just received the product the day before and they had my money. I waited a couple days and no response so I emailed again and inquired about the status. Still nothing. So today, a week later, I returned to Amazon for a refund and will find another brand to purchase. If the unit would have been replaced promptly and functioned adequately, then this review would reflect such. However, the faulty machine and lack of customer service deserves 0 stars. Buyer beware.

The media could not be loaded. This ice machine is good for the price! Makes ice fast. Says there’s Two ice sizes but it’s just thick and thin ones. You have to refill water. Makes a sound but nothing loud. Easy to clean.

I use this daily. It’s a great price and I love the ice quality and size options for ice. I do wish it was a little faster on making ice. Like if I use a lot it takes some time to refill but the water capacity works for us I don’t refill it so often it’s annoying.
