My 45 foot 5th- wheel is pre wired for another brand camera so I bought an after market wired one that would be compatible. I have a wire problem that was causing the wired camera to turn off whenever I pressed the brakes so that wasn't good. I took it to a shop and they thought they fixed it but didn't. I figured what the heck I'll try this out and I do not regret the purchase. Went on is first trip this past week and here is what I found out. 1. Never lost connection at close to 50 feet from camera to monitor. Would occasionally get a slight lag but not anything big. 2. Set up was easy plug and play didn't need to pair it. 3. Charged it on Thursday, trip on Monday, left it on the trailer till the next Monday for the trip home and turned it on and still 100% charge so the solar works, the camera turns itself off when not paired to the monitor. A side note it was over 100° for most the days so the heat didn't bug it. 4. Monitor was very clear and I had no problem seeing cars as I drove. 5. Mounting the monitor- I bought a window suction cup mount to use and it worked well and it is capable of running off a cigarette lighter or a USB plug. 6. Mounting the camera I had to be creative. They send a plate that you can screw into your trailer but I wanted to try and use that other brands mount that was pre-wired in just in case this didn't work I didn't want a bunch of holes in the fiberglass. I used the metal plate from the original camera I bought that screwed into the pre wired mount and the camera magnet (which is incredibly strong by the way) stuck right to it but the angle was bad. So I unsccrewed the pre wired mount and flipped it upside down which gave me the perfect angle. 7. After the trip was over and my rv was back on is storage area the camera popped right off (with a little work, that magnet is strong) and I site it and the monitor with the rv for the next trip. I would definitely buy this again. In fact I was going to see how to order more cameras that would pair with my monitor, it would be cool to have a couple extra views around my rv while driving.

Size: 7 Inch-2 Magnetic RV Cameras
I bought three sets of these Solar Cameras since they were only available in a 2-camera package with one 7-inch screen. I would have preferred a 10" screen because I run with 7 cameras (inside, outside, on top, and under) on my trailer. I have installed wired and wireless setups several times, but just didn't want to run power wires on the outside of this trailer (I am unable to run wires inside). The 7" screen is kind of small for me to see more than 2 cameras at once in split-screen (you have the option to run up to 4 cameras on these screens in quad-view). I don't like having 3 screens in my cab, but most people don't run as many cameras as I do. So I tried these totally wireless units, tested them during the 30 days figuring I'd have to return them. I'm keeping them. They work as expected, have strong magnets for mounting, video quality is great, and the DAYTIME battery life is great. Aside from the small screen, my only disappointment is the battery only lasts about 4-5 hours in the dark so I can't use it for a security camera overnight unless I run power to the cameras. However, even with a power wire, it's just a usb-c plug and not weatherproof. So leaving the cameral plugged in is fine if it doesn't get wet. Overall, they are a great value and extremely convenient to mount and move around. I like having that flexibility so I can put them on different trailers I pull. When they come out with a longer life battery, weatherproof plug, and a bigger screen, I'll probably upgrade. The customer service was so good and responsive that I'm writing my first ever Review for anything I've ever purchased. I had questions about the things I mentioned above and there was very little communication difficulty by email. I even ordered two additional cameras and they were delivered within a week by USPS. Highly recommend these Solar Cameras for the flexibility of moving to different trailers (or anywhere) and not having to run permanent video cables and/or power wires.

I’ve owned these for almost a year. They are awesome for keeping an eye on things when towing utility trailers. The picture quality is good but the cameras are the weak point: The antenna fell off on one camera, sometimes they don’t like to work in cold temps, the night vision has failed on one so it’s currently stuck in daytime even at night. Currently as writing this review, one camera will power on and shuts off. I don’t review many things on here but I use these cameras a lot and wish they preformed a bit better.

Size: 7 Inch-1 Magnetic RV Camera
This is a very nice backup camera system, suitable for van or RV as it allows either single or dual cameras to be mounted for use in transit or while stopped for the night. I had originally got one of the smaller units (5" single camera) and was so impressed by the ease of use that I decided to get the bigger brother and I was not disappointed. I got the one camera variant, and found that the touch sensitive buttons on the front of the unit on the 7" screen make it a much easier to use unit, and I would recommend this unit over the 5" for that alone. The picture quality during day and night operations is very nice. The nighttime goes to black and white IR mode automatically, but the full color daylight mode is shockingly brilliant. I ordered and got a second camera for this unit, and it paired without any issue and allowed me to have 2 channels active either as a swappable channel selection or as a split screen. Honestly, the split screen compresses the field of view quite a bit making it harder to spot details, but I don't see that as a fault of the unit. The screen itself is not touch sensitive, which I feel is a lack, but at the price point I can understand why its not available. I personally used this as a ad-hoc home security system for a couple of days to test - the cameras took full charge from sunlight, and were available within a second or two of the screen unit being activated. When the unit is in use, you have a constant feed from the camera(s) but they go into standby mode if the screen is turned off. I have yet to see the cameras run out of power, though the make offers a larger solar panel to increase speed of recharge. I can happily recommend either of the two units, but I like the 7" more, and wish they had an option for a larger touchscreen with more (4+) channels and an HDMI output. This would be perfect for a home security system - with the solar panels and inbuilt battery it would still work during power outages, and could be moved around easily if desired unlike traditional mount camera systems.

Pros: This device was plug-and-play upon installation. I appreciate the simplicity and solid connectivity. The picture is clear and bright. I like the backup lines option. I've cycled it on and off many times, without any functionality problems. Cons: I added a second camera and it was a little confusing to pair. Then, it just paired, but I'm not sure how. I have the system installed on a tractor, and the monitor is difficult to see in certain lighting conditions. Unsure how it will withstand the weather. I also assumed the monitor was wireless/chargeable; it is not, as it requires a power source.

Wkzay did 2 very smart things to improve the wireless backup camera market: they integrated a 2nd camera AND they provided a super convenient way to extend the applicability of magnetic cameras! I’ll explain. Let’s be honest. It’s safer and more comfortable to have not only a camera on the back of your trailer for backing up, but also to have a 2nd camera in the back of your truck so you can attach to your trailer easier. I have a 5th wheel and through time, I have ended up buying 2 cameras to do just that! Well, Wkzay recognizes this need and has designed the Model R73 Dual RV Wireless Backup Camera. Frankly it is better than the system I have/had because the cameras come pre-paired. Wireless (no wire between camera and monitor) cameras can be confusing to “pair” the camera and monitor. So the frustration you save from not having to run wires and you can regain by having to deal with pairing issues! Wkzay’s new system comes ‘out of the box’ already seeing each other! Awesome!! The second thing Wkzay did was so simple…almost stupid simple…but it made all the difference in the world for someone like me. They simply added 2-sided tape in their install procedure. You’re thinking, ‘big woop, who cares’. Naw…magnetic cameras and new vehicles are not necessarily ‘attracted’ to each other. Aluminum body panels, modular bumpers and other weight saving aluminum trim help the car get better mileage. BUT MAGNETIC CAMERAS NEED STEEL TO ATTACH! (but maybe not…) Wkzay has appropriately added discrete steel plates, the size of the base of the camera, that can be screwed onto the vehicle, trailer, RV, etc. to open up installation locations. I’ve seen that with other quality brands as well. But Wkzay did something more, that I particularly love: they added 3M 2-sided tape the size of the steel plate so that I did not have to screw or drill into my vehicle! I now have a ton more places I can add a ‘magentic’ camera, and not only does it NOT have to be magnetic, but I DON’T have to screw something permanent onto my truck or RV. So, for example, the rubberized coating on the top of my 5th wheel, I can slap a camera up there and not only do I not have to run wires for power (solar powered camera) or run wires for video (wireless connectivity to monitor), but I also don’t even have to screw into my rig…potentially creating a leak!!! Simple 3M 2-sided tape. Brilliant! Thank you Wkzay!! All the other awesome stuff you probably read in other reviews are accurate: the clarity, the long distance between the camera and monitor, long battery life, large 7-inch screen, night vision, SD card compatible…I’m not going to spend time on that. I’m a simple guy, and the less things I have to do to get the best outcome is what I’m interested in. For that, I’m interested in and highly recommend the new Wkzay Model R73, DUAL Wireless Magnetic Backup Camera with 7 Inch Monitor!!
