  • You need WiFi? Buy this! It's cheap and works great! You need WiFi? Buy this! It's cheap and works great!
Key Notes: * Very small! Don't lose it! * Good strong signal * Has some small issues with multi-channel traffic * Wonderful value for the price Overview: I've had several of these over my life in computers. They are just so handy when either your computer is getting old and doesn't meet the current WiFi schedule/standard. It's also nice when you buy a computer that SAID it had WiFi, but ended up not having it. As long as your computer has a USB, then this thing can be plugged in and used to connect to WiFi. This one in particular was very easy to "install", as it was a simple plug-and-play. I didn't need to do any setup whatsoever. I ran an internet speed test and got a 45.6 Mbps download and 21.5 Mbps upload. It's not the fastest that I've ever worked with, but it IS faster than any school computer I've ever worked on lol. But seriously - for $7, don't hesitate to buy this adapter if you need one. * Installation 10/10 As I said before, there really was no installation - it was as simple as plugging the USB in and accessing our home WiFi. If you can plug in a USB and know your WiFi password, then you can install this without issue. * Speed 9/10 Again, I mentioned that this is 45.6 Mbps download and 21.5 Mbps upload. That may be fast for some and slow for others. I've played Battlefield 6 with this adapter and not had any issues UNLESS I was running another connection in the background (which I'll comment on in a minute). It's honestly pretty fast for a tiny $7 USB plugin. * Connectivity 8/10 I have had no issues connecting to the internet over WiFi using this adapter EXCEPT one: when I'm trying to run multiple threads/connections at once, then it likes to hiccup and slow down a bit. The job still gets done, but it doesn't like it very much. Other than that, if you aren't a chronic multitasker like me, then you should be perfectly fine. * Value 10/10 Folks - this is $7! That is practically nothing! I wholeheartedly believe that this adapter is fully worth the full price. Don't hesitate to buy this if you need it - it's not going to break the bank, and it will allow you to get onto the internet with good connection speeds. It's worth it, I promise. Hope this helps =) ... show more

  • Compact Upgrade That Made a Noticeable Difference Compact Upgrade That Made a Noticeable Difference
Pros: * Easy plug-and-play installation * Supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands * Small, unobtrusive design * Noticeably faster than older USB Wi-Fi adapters * Excellent value for the price Consider: * The advertised 600 Mbps is a combined theoretical total (150 Mbps on 2.4 GHz + 433 Mbps on 5 GHz) * Actual speeds depend on your router, internet service, and computer * Not the fastest class of Wi-Fi adapter available but very low price My Experience My main desktop had been running on an ancient USB Wi-Fi adapter for years. I saw this dual-band model for about seven dollars and decided it was finally time for an upgrade. The installation was as simple as plugging it in. My computer recognized it immediately, and I was connected within minutes. One detail worth noting is that the advertised 600 Mbps speed is not available on a single band. The maximum 5 GHz connection speed is 433 Mbps, with the remaining 150 Mbps coming from the 2.4 GHz band. I didn’t realize that until I received it, but it wasn’t a disappointment. Compared to my old adapter, the performance improvement was obvious. For an older desktop or laptop that needs a low-cost Wi-Fi upgrade, this little adapter delivers a lot of value for very little money. ... show more

  • Appears to Work, but May Require Some Technical Knowledge Appears to Work, but May Require Some Technical Knowledge
This dual-band USB WiFi adapter seems like it should work well, but I have to admit that I am not the most tech-savvy person when it comes to computers, networking, or electronics. Installation was simple enough. I plugged it into my desktop computer, opened Device Manager, and was able to see the adapter listed. I could also see references to the 5GHz capability, which suggested that the computer was recognizing the device correctly. Where I ran into trouble was actually getting connected. Even though the adapter appeared to be installed and recognized by Windows, I could not get my computer to display or connect to the 5GHz network. When I checked my available WiFi connections, I continued to see only the 2.4GHz network that my computer was already using. Now, this may very well be user error on my part. My desktop is several years old, and there may be settings, drivers, or network configurations that I am unfamiliar with. Since the adapter was showing up correctly in Device Manager and appeared to be functioning, I suspect the issue is more likely with my setup or lack of technical knowledge than with the adapter itself. After spending quite a bit of time trying to figure it out, I decided to put it aside for now. I have a friend who is more experienced with computers, and I plan to have him take a look at it. Based on what I saw, I believe the adapter is working as intended and that someone who is comfortable with computer networking would probably have no trouble setting it up. Overall, I cannot fully evaluate its performance since I was unable to complete the setup, but everything I observed suggests that the device itself works and that my difficulties were likely due to my own lack of technical expertise rather than a problem with the adapter. And for the price its a good value once it works. ... show more

  • Useful for Computer Build That Don't Have Wifi Useful for Computer Build That Don't Have Wifi
I love having these little WiFi adapters since they come in handy when building PCs that don't natively have integrated WiFi. These aren't the fastest wifi adapters, but they easily allow for some browsing and setting everything up on a computer before utilizing Ethernet or getting a wifi card for the motherboard or PCIe slot. The compact size means it is easy to store or put in a PC, and it won't block anything. However, it also means it is easy to lose or forget it's in the PC that you are returning or giving to someone. It functions great as a plug-and-play, though sometimes you have to search for the drivers depending on the computer. ... show more

  • Tiny WiFi Adapter That Gets the Job Done Tiny WiFi Adapter That Gets the Job Done
I picked up this compact dual-band USB WiFi adapter as an inexpensive way to add wireless connectivity to an older computer. The adapter is extremely small and doesn’t stick out much from the USB port, making it easy to leave plugged in without getting in the way. Setup was straightforward, and I was able to connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. For basic tasks like web browsing, email, streaming videos, and downloading files, the connection was stable and reliable. I also appreciate how portable it is—small enough to keep in a laptop bag or drawer as a backup adapter. The compact size is definitely a plus, although the tradeoff is that the signal strength may not be as strong as larger adapters with external antennas. Still, for everyday use and the price point, it performs well. Pros: * Very compact design * Supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks * Easy installation * Good value for the price * Great for older laptops and desktops Cons: * Signal range may be limited compared to larger adapters * Basic packaging and documentation Overall, this is a solid budget-friendly WiFi adapter that works well for everyday internet use and is easy to keep on hand as a backup. ... show more

  • Plug and play, add wifi to any desktop or laptop computer, no software required, 5G at 430mbps speed Plug and play, add wifi to any desktop or laptop computer, no software required, 5G at 430mbps speed
This little wifi adapter does exactly what is says. You just plug it in to your laptop of desktop and you can connect any wireless internet signal. It's plug and play for Windows 11 and did not require any additional software. The dongle is really small and portable. It barely uses any processing power at all. It seems to give a very stable signal. You can switch between 2.4 of 5G bands. At 5G, I was getting speeds around 420mbps. It also supports WPS, WPA and WPA2 encryption so your signal is secure. Overall, this is a fantastic little device for this price. It's hard to beat for only $7. It works perfectly on my Windows 11 desktop. I would absolutely recommend this product. ... show more
