I have updated the review as of 11/13/23, to reflect my complete satisfaction with this product as well as admiration of the vendor's customer service. I was contacted by the vendor after my review posted and they offered to send me a replacement, which I gratefully accepted. On testing, the product performs very well on my home network and was trouble-free to plug in and start to use. Easy to recommend this product now that I have been able to use and test it. For its price, it is a great deal and performs very nicely. RECOMMENDED! My initial review of this product was "This is a very fragile product. Likely would have been able to test it if I could plug it in while in a straight-on orientation, but my application required the antenna to articulate to 90 deg. The antenna dislocated from the hinge and then the antenna wire broke before I could get it reassembled. Disappointing. Great price though - would like to see if it actually works.: ... show more

This is an inexpensive WiFi adapter (I call them antennas) that will let your computer pick up WiFi signals much easier. Most of my computers are older units that have questionable WiFi reception. I ordered it as a part of a package. Originally I was going with a different item but I saw it in a bundle in my "others buy this instead" so I went ahead and purchased it. I tried this wifi adapter on 2 different laptops and it was very fast on the newer laptop considering it's only 802.11 n. On the slower laptop that is 14 years old it was slow like the built in wifi card. Old technology in the older laptop is the reason it's slow. You can't go wrong buying this USB wifi adapter for $7. It works great. Note: The Windows driver that is automatically installed works fine. I did download the MediaTek driver for the slower laptop to see if it would run any faster and it didn't. Be aware that when you go to EDUP's site to get the driver that they try to get you to install something else from MediaTek. You have to select the button to say driver only. Product number is listed on package to get the driver. The product number in the instruction manual is incorrect. ... show more
