I don’t find the item thin enough to stay close to my eye/face. Also don’t find the tongs separate enough to separate lashes. Not impressed.

The idea is a great one ! But I think they’re just to big / thick to really work well.. I think they need to not to be as thick so they can lay flat or correct under your lashes to work

This lash guard and comb is easy to use after a little bit of practice. Its bulkiness can make it awkward to hold and maneuver. Mascara is one of the last things I apply to my face, after my eyeshadow is done. I use this while applying mascara to my eyelashes to help avoid smudging up my previously applied eye makeup. This does a decent job of keeping the mascara off of my eyelids. The built-in comb bristles help to separate my lashes and remove clumps of mascara.

I have hooded eyelids, so avoiding mascara smudges is challenging enough without even mentioning my under-eye bags that seem to suck up every ounce of makeup fallout on the planet. My mascara often gets clumpy quickly due to how close my lashes are to my skin, and I try to avoid painting my lids with the wand. To be completely honest, I didn't have high hopes for this product when I ordered it, but I desperately needed some kind of protection now that I have to use prescription eye drops twice daily. The shape fits me perfectly, and the small fins don't prevent mascara from coating the lashes. It can take some getting used to, but it's a fantastic product once you get the hang of it. The plastic is thick and comfortable to hold with my small hands, and the fins are long enough to prevent lashes from being missed. I removed a star because I believe the fins should be more profound. When using this item, I noticed that it was more challenging to coat my lashes evenly while keeping them lined up against the notches. A deeper gap could help produce a more even spread without sacrificing protection. I would recommend this product.
