They are easy to use and do not pinch. They are the nicest lash curler I have used, are well made, and sturdy. They come with replacement rubber pads. I did some research on lash curlers and the most important thing to know is that you should get a lash curler that is made for the shape of your eyes. From doing online research, I learned that the most important thing is to purchase an eyelash curler that matches the shape of your eyes, or they may pinch.     • Good for curling after mascara is dry....
I don’t really understand why this is for deep set eyes. The only different is the bar the lashes get squeezed on is narrower. The curler is not as strong for curling on clean lashes but good for using after the mascara is dried on the lashes. I smear a bit of Vaseline on the outside of the bar and when I curl my lashes with the mascara, nothing sticks and it helps that the bar is so thin. Then my lashes get curled well. I use another lash curler for my clean lashes which works better and is made in Germany. I like that it has a very wide opening. ... show more

Update: After using for some time I realize that I must have some reaction to the type of metal from which this is made because every time I use it my eyes water for hours after. It could be that because it clamps so tight I am just irritating my eyes, but the watering also seems to happen if I go slow and barely squeeze it. I have a slightly hooded eye so really need a lash curler that has a narrow top, this one fits that bill perfectly. I also really like the overall shape because it grabs my lashes without having to press into my eyelid. Has great grip and came with extra pads. Highly recommend! ... show more

I'm an avid eyelash curler user. These were super pinchy for my eyes. I've gotten very good over the years at avoiding the pinch, but these were pretty difficult for me to avoid it with my eye shape. IF I was able to avoid the pinch, the lashes would end up crimped and not curled at the base of the lash. These weren't super expensive, but I don't usually pay even this much for eyelash curlers. I'll go back to my cheap ones. I gave them more than 1 star because I suspect these are very dependent on eye shape, and although I thought they would be great for my eye shape, I was wrong. I thought I had deep set eyes, but maybe not. 🤷🏼♀️ They do seem to be of good quality, however. ... show more

Amazing in that it opens very wide and grabs every single lash on my deep-set, almond-shaped eyes, but the actual curling power isn’t that hot. Works better if you hear it up with a blow dryer but then you have to be super careful not to burn your lid, plus that’s time consuming. I’ll be looking for another curler with a similar shape but with better curling capability. ... show more

I couldn’t get all my lashes into a store brand curler. Saw this on Amazon and knew the brand and like my tweezeman tweezers. But this curler still does not curl my lashes. Same problem with the other curlers I have owned and eventually threw away to save my lashes. They don’t curl dry(w/o mascara). And curling after applying mascara they stick and I loose my lashes and ruin my eyeliner. Only plus I see it that it fits my eye shape better since it’s not curved as much. ... show more

I have almond shape hooded eyes. This helps curl with out digging into my eye lid. It did take time to break in. A friend suggested running it under hot water first. To soften it. That seemed to do the trick.

This is a picture of me using this and thrive causemetics liquid lash extension mascara. Did have to curl base of lashes, middle, tips, then the base again to achieve desired curl. Curl before using mascara. Pricey but pretty good product.
