TP-Link UE330 is a 3-port USB 3.0 hub with 1 extra Gigabit Ethernet port , no power adapter needed. Plug & Play for MacBook, Mac Pro/Mini, iMac, XPS, Surface Pro, Notebooks, Desktop PCs, USB Flash Drives, Mobile HDD, and More With TP-Link UE330, you can now transfer data at up to 10 times the speeds of the older USB 2.0 standards. Speeds of 5Gbps are a vast improvement over USB 2.0’s 480Mbps top speed. It is also backwards compatible, allowing you the capability of using USB 2.0/1.1 products if need be. Please Note: 2.4Ghz wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard and mouse adapters, may not work in close proximity to USB 3.0 devices or hubs. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port is recommended. I can confirm this works with Macbook Pro (MBP) M4 Pro laptop. It is just plug and play. The only thing I had to do after inserting this adapter for the first time was click “Allow” in the pop-up window to allow my MBP to use the adapter. Other than that it has been working great. I needed this to test my “1 gb” connection from my internet service provider (ISP). I can say it does transfer more than a 1gb, as I saw about 1.1-1.2gb down and upload speeds using Speedtest connected directly to my router/gateway. However, I CANNOT confirm if this does up to 2.5 gb (hence the 4 stars). I bought this in case I do switch to a 2.5 gb service plan in the future. We’ll see if it still works then. ... show more

This works great. Took my Fire TV Gen3, from a Ethernet direct connection from speed of 87 to using it in the USB3 port to 327. Programming is absolutely no buffering, and the response from the remote is noticeably snappier. Best $10 (on sale,) I spent. I have two fire cubes. Both had same performance. Yes, I know that Wifi is faster, but I prefer wired connections if feasible. P.S. disconnect both power, and the HDMI connections first. May require a restart of the Fire also. ... show more

This thing is excellent! I have this laptop and the Wi-Fi is not that good and my network bandwidth was really poor. So I got a relay Network extender and plug the ethernet cable from it into my laptop using this device. Everything rocks now.
