  • Works great
Style: USB-A with 3-Ports
Plug and play. Works great, fast and reliable ethernet commection. I like that it has USB ports on it. I plugged the dongles to my wireless keyboard and mouse into it to free up ports on the computer. Nice cheap solution to the unreliable wifi I was dealing with

  • Works great. No qualms. Quick response. Snug. Holds connection perfect
Style: USB-A with 3-Ports
I bought this and I am happy to say it operates as expected, the usB plugin fits snuggly. There is no wiggle room. This is excellent for us Laptop users that are always moving our laptop around. You do not have to worry about losing your connection to this device because, it does not wiggle.. I use Dell if that helps anyone, and a usb mouse and USB wifi cause my laptop inside one died so this works great. The cat5 cable fits perfectly too. Everything starts up within 1.5 seconds of opening my lid when it's asleep, this is my 3rd device and I'll be buying this brand again if I ever need another. We'll done, quality design. ... show more

  • Wired gigabit networking with just a free USB port
Style: USB-A with 3-Ports
I have several of these, both the cheaper sort that only has the networking jack and also the more expensive model that contains both a USB hub and the networking jack. Both models seem to work well for giving a device gigabit wired networking, and the model with the USB hub also works for giving you extra USB jacks. And as others have commented, this device is "plug and play" (i.e. just plug it in, and it works). And I have confirmed "gigabit speeds" out of this device, although I suspect you would get slower speeds if you used inferior networking cables/switches and/or your device had a slower USB port (but in both of those cases the slowdown would be the fault of something this adapter is connected to, vs the fault of the adapter itself). However, like all "plug and play" devices, this adapter does require the device you are using it with to have the needed drivers already installed/present. In the case of this adapter, that means your connected device must have "networking via USB" drivers already installed. So any device that doesn't have these needed drivers obviously won't work with this adapter! In my case I have confirmed that several (but not all) of my home "smart TVs" will work with this adapter, as will both of my chromebook laptops, and even my android smartphone (via a USB "on the go" cable). Again, all devices that this adapter works with are "plug and play", although the TVs also needed to be "restarted" (unplugged from house power, plugged back in and then turned on) to convince the TV to use this adapter vs using its builtin WiFi. ... show more

  • Bought a new laptop needed wired internet vs. wireless which was standard on the laptop
Style: USB-A with 3-Ports
Bought a new laptop that came with only 2 USB and no wired internet? So I needed a USB hub and USB wired internet connection. This device provided both in only unit and so far works just fine. Only complain would be that the cable is a little short, so when working I need to keep the laptop on the edge of the table to allow the HUB to hang over the side out of the way. ... show more

  • Gigabit speed plus extra USB ports
Style: USB-A with 3-Ports
I run a wonky little mini ITX build inside of an old NES case with only two rear USB 3.0 ports. I've normally been connecting to my network with WiFI (my NES has antennas for that at least) but that proves slow when I've been moving large files back and forth between my little PC and my network storage. This thing works right out of the box (as it should) and comes with the bonus of 3 extra USB ports (convenient for my keyboard, mouse, and Blu-ray drive). ... show more
