Comfortable for a 140# person, not sure a bigger person would be comfortable. Seating surface is a bit smaller and the backrest is upright but not uncomfortable to me. I would want to watch a movie sitting in the but it's a barstool not a recliner. I'm happy with these. Packed very well, no damage or missing parts. Very easy to assemble. I put 3 together in about 90 minutes by myself.

Love the look of this barstool but they are super small in the seat. The seat is very uncomfortable. I feel like I'm going to slide out. I purchased the short 24" counter stools. There's not enough seat to support your legs so you have to put your feet on the footrest to prevent sliding forward. The backrest is a great height but within 3 months the screws are stripping out and the backrest is now loose and eventually going to break off. All in all just the small round seat is a deal breaker. Love the look but would not recommend unless they are for children.

The size was small, unless you're of small stature, such as Asian, and the curved backs prevented sitting in the full seat area. I felt like I was falling forward off the stool. I resold them at a loss because the seller only authorized return if I paid for shipping, which was astronomical, basically equaling the refund amount!! They were pretty stools but unsatisfactory and the seller's return requirement is even more unsatisfactory. Avoid this purchase, unless you and all of your guests are diminutive in stature.

I bought one to check out because we couldn't find one we liked in the stores, and they were all very expensive (300 and up). I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Nice hardwood, comfortable to sit in, and straightforward to assemble (yes, it will take you 45 minutes, but I had no difficulty, never mind what some of the other reviewers say). So I got a 2nd one. May even get a 3rd at some point.

I changed the height of my kitchen countertop and need to replace the stools. Ordered 4 Chairs and arrived promptly. One of them arrived damaged during shipping, I contacted the seller DTY and they sent the replacement part in no time. The chair is nice, solid built, easy to assemble, but as other reviewers say it is small for a big guy.

Well built and all holes lined up with no problems. Heavy duty bolts that are very easy to install. All wooden parts and high quality hardwood and seat is rugged and soft. Finish on wood is duper and it is a high quality piece of furniture. Would purchase again!

These chairs arrived sooner than scheduled. They were pretty easy to assemble and took about 20 minutes. They look really nice but are not where you’d want to sit for too long. For the price, quality and looks they cannot be beat. The only downside is there is no 800 number for customer service, just an email. Fortunately we had no glitches but if we had it would have been frustrating not to be able to reach someone.

This barstool is really good looking. It comes at an amazing price because it also swivels. It has an attractive metal plate on the footrest so the wood does not get damaged which I quite appreciate'. The cherry wood is beautiful & it was nice to find a padded seat that was not leather. I ordered the charcoal black material & it is quite attractive. I love them so much that I ended up purchasing 4 of them.. My husband said they were a little hard to put together, but he got faster with each one. I highly recommend these barstools! A+
