I found the Shark vacuums ( have more than 1) to be incredibly efficient on sucking up even the finest dirt and particulate. Much needed with two dogs! Because it is so effective, it is most important to keep the filter system clean and “breathable”. Changing out these filters periodically is key to the Shark’s efficiency. Filters can be washed and dried out (water only-no soap) but using new filters periodically is important and recommended for maximum effectiveness of the vacuum. ... show more

I love my shark vacuums but the way to keep them nice is to change the filters way more than recommended so I purchase these pretty regularly. I do wash and reuse them but I like to have a few as I have 4 dogs in the house so I am washing our filters weekly versus monthly. This was a great purchase.
