It got here fast but this thing is garbage probably cost $0.10 to make and it shows. Bigger than expected, not at all a precision tool. Had to do some tweaking to get it to work semi decent.

    • I've seen sharper marbles
Came as dull as possible. Even if it were sharp, the iron doesn't sit far enough back in the mouth to allow shavings to easily pass through. The width of the plane and iron are so different that when you tighten the lever cap, the iron doesn't sit square which is just hilarious. Overall, after I sharpen the iron, maybe it'll be OK for PDF, but any hardwood you'd probably just Mar it like crazy. UPDATE- spent an HOUR trying to flatten this iron with 400 grit. Gave up. Got it as close as I could by hand, then put it in a honing guide to to the bevel and spent another hour. It still won't even shave pine. It might be okay for bevels, but otherwise it's a paperweight. DON'T BUY. ... show more

    • Not the best, but it can get the job done (albeit frustratingly)
Needed to shave some wood off the top of a bedroom door that was wonky due to settling in a 90 year old home. It did the job, with considerable effort, because the plane kept falling apart. When I could get it to hold together, it did well. You may want to spend a little bit more and upgrade.

I used the wood plane shortly after is arrived. As with most wood cutting blades in planes, they have to be fined tuned to provide a good results. The sharpness of the blade was good right out of the box. The blade can always be sharpen into a better cutting point. Thanks & I hope to buy more products from you in the future. ... show more

This worked GREAT on a door that had stuck on opening and closing for years. It was strong, planed easily and worked! Fantastic and you don't need a big planer as this can do the job.

    • Small but worked
I have a power planner and a sander bu I jus couldn't get close enough wih them. I was sanding the front of the door frame that wen all the way o the vinyl ceiling. Either of my power tools would have wrecked the ceiling. This took off 3 -4 layers of paint easily. I was impressed!
