Description

The MAMBA X EXTREME ESC paired with our sensored 1406-3800kv motor is ideal for LOW SPEED CRAWLING OR TRAIL RUNNING in vehicles weighing up to 9lbs on 2s; it can also be used in more aggressive setups like rock racing and extended hill climbing on vehicles up to 5lbs. It can also be used in 2WD BUGGIES, STADIUM TRUCKS AND 4WD TOURING CARS; equivalent in RPM output to approximately a 10.5 turn. Your Mamba X ESC will come with our newest firmware that has been enhanced for rock crawling and sensored operation. Our 4-pole 12-slot sensored motor designs boast exceptional efficiency, and the oversized NMB bearings and vibration dampening system ensure the longest bearing life possible. High- strength, high-temperature grade neodymium sintered magnets combined with a high-strength Kevlar wrap ensures the integrity of the rotor is not compromised during harsh running conditions. You will reap the benefits of longer run times on one battery and a cooler running motor that can be pushed harder while enjoying the precise throttle control and buttery smooth starts that our sensored motors offer. The high-performance Mamba X also includes an integrated and powerful 8A adjustable BEC and is approved for all-weather use as it is housed in a rugged CNC-machined aluminum case and then potted in waterproof epoxy.

This thing is awesome! πŸ˜€πŸ‘ I know it's not for a drag car but With the torque it has I thought I'll put it in my Dragster for fun. Geared it up for speed and let it RIP. It did good for acceleration for half teach (66feet) but ones we got to 80-132 feet the high KV motors caught up. (Already new that was going to happen with the low kv it has but what surprised me was it could keep up in that setting.     • Great setup
Do not run 6S on this motor. I did and fried the esc caught the battery on fire damaging my setup. It fried the esc not the motor btw, and the battery burst in flames. was able to yank it out before too much of it was damaged. Castle thankfully sent me a replacement this one time. They are a good company and I highly suggest their products. Was running on trx4 and won't use that aggressive of a setup again. 4S takes it plenty fast if that's what you are after. I knew I was pushing it. It didn't run any faster on 6S btw. 5s ran well but will take longevity from the motor. I've had the new esc blow a capacitor with 3s plugged in testing a new capra gspeed build freewheeling in my hand. had not ran 6s on this esc fyi, so not sure what the chance is getting it repaired or replaced by castle. havent contacted them yet, but will try to remember updating this review on what happens. will probably have to pay partial cost as this update is 2 years after initial posting. cant afford the shipping even as of now, so the system isnt 5 stars (4.5 if 5 is perfect) but with customer service id rate 6 if possible, especialy if i get it repaired again since i was using it by the manufacturers specs. another thing that sets this above the competition is the castle link giving control on the fly of drag brake or power, etc. made in the USA is a big thumbs up too while im rambling on about this product.adding the insurance for 33 bucks for 3 years is a good call and that isnt saying anything negative on this item but a good call for people who push their rigs to the edge. ... show more

Installed this in my TRX4 Defender, awesome performance. Ridiculously fast, pops wheelies with ease and applying the brake will have the car tumbling. Also crawls great, awesome torque with no cogging. Recommended. If you have the light kit, solder the power for it to the battery connector when you solder on your connector. Used some high strength velcro to attached the ESC to the chassis. Supplied user manual details how to reverse the motor direction. Simon ... show more

Install was super easy and being able to shorten the super long motor wires made for a great custom look. I redeemed the free usb program card and it got to me in less than a week. When I connected to the esc this is when I was very impressed with all the ways I could make this setup work for use in a crawler. ... show more

For some reason mine fried without the battery or even the battery being connected with the battery being connected to it and it being off it fried on its own

Castle Creations are the best and my go to when upgrading esc and motors. I have the sw3 w/brushless motor setup in my 4x4 slash and have abused it for 3 years now n still going. This Mamba X sensored brushless setup is in my axail scx10ii and is working great
