before using these skimming blades, I was overhelmed with the task of removing the old, ugly texture. I started using the biggest (12') blade and making no headway. My wall were crooked up & down, almost every other 16" center. And as with any tool there is a learning curve. My walls are now smooth & flat. Blades are nice i ended up buying the kit with the case since these are so nice. If you have struggle with 12 and 14 inch blades in the past trying to skim coat walls these will be like magic. I did a few 8x14 foot walls in the matter of 2 coats and some time to dry painted semi gloss and it looked great. ... show more
