Description

Many TENS failures to relieve pain could be attributed to incorrect placing of electrodes, and next would be the use of unsatisfactory settings. Most manuals that come with these units do not cover much more than the turning on and off. This Kindle Book shows images of Electrode Placements for pain relief from Joint, Neuropathic, and Muscle pain, with all the Pulse settings tables for the different pain conditions, as well as for Sports Injuries. Sports conditioning is an important part of Electrotherapy, where muscles can be conditioned by the application of specially developed setting programs using the new Muscle Stimulation units, called STIMs The Kindle Book explains the Terminology relating to TENS use, and describes how different settings can target specific nerve fibres for instant or longer lasting pain relief, even weight loss. Acupuncture has been in the news lately as being effective for pain relief, so the TENS Mode of Acupuncture-Like therapy is covered, with Trigger Point and Acupuncture Point charts included. The author offers a free video detailing a highly successful technique that he developed for his own Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy. This is only available to registered purchasers of his book. • Effective Use Of The TENS
The author is correct that there is a huge gap in correct placements of the electrodes and the settings that should be used. I am really appreciative that the information is being presented in such a way that I know that using the suggested settings will start the process and the settings can be adjusted as needed for me personally. Excellent suggestions. Recommended. ... show more

  • Good basic book
Many useful details, could be more specific on placement of electrodes however info will get you started. Good starter manual.

  • good information
Helpful information. For the price this is a good book, tens information is not the easiest to come by, and this book gives some of that info. More would be better, but this is a start.

  • Waste of money
Tables and graph hard to read. Little more information that my user manual which is very poor. Don't waste your money with this book.

I found this book interesting and packed full of knowledge. It was told by a person who has been through pain and who is sharing his experiences.

  • I Wish
I've got full blown peripheral neuropathy in both feet, legs, arms, etc.. This curse was delivered to me through cholesterol medications such as Lipitor and Crestor. For a nearly 13 years I complained that these medications were bringing me pain to my legs and no physician warned me that it may trigger neuropathy. Yet these drugs are now the number one cause of peripheral neuropathy. I have tried the so-called Rebuilder or tens unit which promised much but turned out to be a waste of $700 but I must confess I do have a small Empy unit that does offer me slight relief in my legs by attaching a lead to the top of each foot. I hope this work by Pete Rumball offers some help to someone, but for me it was a waste. I cannot say this book is worthless for it may actually help someone. Peripheral neuropathy is a miserable disease. I found a few years ago that tramadol seems to be the best painkiller for this disease because it does not cause all of the digestive issues that opiates bring. I also take gabapentin but I cannot really say it helps during the day; it does seem to help me get to sleep by pushing back mildly on the pain. Of course I have to take sleep aids to basically knock myself out. The only time I do not hurt is when I am asleep. Good luck to those of you who do have this cursed disease. And know this; it will only get worse. So don't believe all the hype that's out there by these quack doctors professing to offer a healing for peripheral neuropathy. Any real doctor will tell you there is no cure. ... show more

  • Great information
TENS units do not come with much information at all and I have found that trying to get suggestions and help can be difficult at best. This book has great info from real-world, first hand experience.
