Got this for a family friend to be able to visit. She has been in an electric wheelchair for the last twenty or so years. This ramp was almost long enough to be ADA compliant (short 2 feet) but for entry to our home works well. It’s a gentle incline so she can get up easily and doesn’t feel unsafe while she is on it. It’s significantly more cost effective than renting a ramp, and it wasn’t too difficult to assemble and disassemble for storage. We did buy some extra support beams to use just in case, but didn’t need them. Perfect for getting into the house via a wheelchair after my knee replacement. Set-up was easy (about an hour). We got the 14 feet ramp for a 28 inch rise, so you definitely need a strong helper to push you up the ramp. This was perfect for our short term use, and it is easy to put away and store.

We needed a temporary ramp during a long recovery by my husband. He’s a big guy using a large wheelchair so it was important to have a sturdy ramp. It was also imperative that my 5-5,135 pound body could navigate pushing and pulling him up and down. The ramp was easy to shovel during the snow we had this winter here in New England, and is not at all slippery even when wet. My daughter and son in law assembled it for us without difficulty. To be honest, my son in law is a carpenter, so that helped! Luckily we are getting close to not needing it so will have them disassembled the ramp soon. It is completely functional and was easy to assemble. I only gave it 4 stars because it gives a bit while pushing my father up and down the ramp. Not 100% sturdy but acceptable. My father and me are around 300lb total. I wouldn't go more than 400lb total.

    • Worked Well For 5 Months.
Size: 12 feet
This ramp worked beautifully for about 5 months. Then it became loose, most likely from the vibration of walking and wheelchair. We hired a handyman to secure it to the garage floor. I hope it will remain secure. Should have had one built.
