As a curl activator this product works pretty well. There are several things I'm less than in love with. First the scent is a heavy floral, like an old lady (mid 20th century) perfume. The scent is too overwhelming and just not how I want to smell or what I want to be smelling. That being said, it doesn't smell bad, just not my thing. If you use the product sparingly you get used to it. Second, the texture is a little too sticky, viscous. Finally, this product is not particularly hydrating.
