UNBELIEVABLY SILENT WITH STRONG FLOW

Seriously prob one of the best purchases we have made on Amazon. Feels weird to get excited over a fan but really this thing rocks. First of all to any reviewers saying how decription is a lie about 9 settings, why dont you actually read the full descriptions/pic captions that clearly say how new model has updated motor and 9 AIR SPEED SETTINGS! It CLEARLY says if u recently recieved an older model to contact cust service and they prob would send you the new model listed. The dB level is insanely low. You barely hear it on settings 1-5 and slightly more with 6-9 but nowhere near anything distracting or loud. In fact on lower settings we sometimes forget to shut it off because you dont realize its on unless you are in direct line of air flow. Which brings me to the air flow… Air flow is steady and strong that you can feel over 12 feet away just on lowest settings. Seriously no need to put it higher than 5-6 unless you really want to feel your hair blow. Also air is nice and cool even in 90 degree weather its still feels cool. Nothing like other fans that just blow air around. Ossilation is COMPLETELY SILENT. Literally no sound at all while turning. Remote is solidly constructed and yes although sometimes u need to press a button twice to work, that is not the norm and i think its because sometimes its bc if you point the remote thru the air stream that might interfere with tranmission? But if clearly directly pointed then 99% of time the buttons work first press. Cant say anything about other models but this particular model I think looks the best and great choice for this price range. Do you really need a fan to connect to wifi? Also assembly is less than 5 minutes from box open to feeling the flow. Just READ the clear instructions how to connect 2 base pieces together which easily snap together, feed power cord thru then just attach fan and plug in. Done ... show more

Finally, a Tower Fan That’s Easy to Clean! Best Fan We’ve Owned

We have been through a lot of fans over the years, and this Dreo tower fan is hands-down one of the absolute best we’ve ever had. The single main reason I bought this model was the fact that it was actually designed to be taken apart and cleaned. If you've owned other tower fans, you know how frustrating it is when dust builds up inside and you can't reach it—this fan completely solves that headache. Being able to easily open it up to wipe down the inside components makes keeping it running fresh effortless. On top of the easy maintenance, the performance is fantastic. At 28 ft/s, it moves a serious amount of air while staying impressively quiet, making it ideal for sleeping. Keeps me nice and cool! So far so good!

So far I love this fan. I wish I had purchased it much earlier. My old fan broke down and had to throw away so I needed a new one. My apartment gets real hot even with the A/C during peak summer time in Houston Texas so I needed an extra fan besides the ceiling fan which is not as cool as floor fan. I love how it has oscillating option and auto mode as well. Also, the remote control comes in very handy! The air is very cool almost like the A/C which I need because I always get hot especially after cooking and cleaning. This fan really helps me a lot and has been keeping me cool and not sweaty. Dreo vs Lasko Tower Fans--Which Should You Buy? Summer is coming, and everyone could use a little more cooling on hot summer days. Gone are the days of box fans or awkward top heavy circular oscillating fans. Today, when people need a little extra air flow, they go for a tower fan with a remote. As you might expect, there is a dizzying array of choices available. In this article, we’ll compare the Lasko 2511 with a new option on the market, the Dreo. 36” tower fan. Both of these fans offer a quality experience, but which should you buy? Air Flow As you would expect, fan speed, or more specifically, the wind speed of the air leaving the fan, is probably the most important consideration when selecting one. You want something that will move air! Both the Lasko and Dreo tower fans offer multiple speeds to customize your cooling comfort. The Lasko has three speeds, the lowest bing really gentle, with the highest being significant enough to be felt 8 feet away. The Dreo, on the other hand, has four speeds available. 1, 2, and 3 are pretty comparable to the feel of the Lasko. However, speed 4 is noticeably more powerful than what the Lasko offers. It’s also worth mentioning that the Lasko oscillates over a 45° spread, while the Dreo has a 90° oscillation. So overall, the Dreo is going to move air over a larger area, but ultimately it seems like this difference is going to come down to a matter of preference. Noise The noise level of both fans is pretty comparable, with the Dreo being noticeably quieter at lower speeds. From three feet away, at speed 1, the Dreo registers at a whisper quiet 34 dB, while the Lasko is 44 dB. You have to get the Dreo up to speed 3 to hit 44 dB, and at that speed, the Lasko only goes up to 47 dB. Basically ,the Lasko doesn’t add much more noise at the different speeds. The Dreo does have that extra speed 4 that cranks up the noise a bit with the wind speed. At speed 4, the Dreo runs at 48 dB. The Dreo has an extra feature that Lasko is lacking. You can mute the button sounds. This is handy if you want to make adjustments without interrupting the quiet. Design The design of these two fans is similar, but also so markedly different that it’s hard not to remark on it. Lasko, as with many of their products, has opted for a functional, utilitarian design that gets the job done. It doesn’t look particularly bad, but it’s not great either. The light indicators let you know what your settings are, but they're just dots of lights next to numbers. In the case of the sleep timer, they even require you to do math to know what the timer is set on. And the numbers you’re looking at are printed on the fan, not backlit. So you’re going to have to turn on the light to check your settings if you’re in a dark room. The Dreo, on the other hand, looks like a work of modern art, with its all black design, and the big LED screen. You won’t have any problem knowing what speed the fan is set to or what the sleep timer is set on. No moving closer to inspect tiny numbers printed on the casing. The design differences carry through to the remotes. The Lasko remote is functional, if unsightly, while the Dreo is beautiful and sleek (and the Dreo remote also comes with a battery; the Lasko doesn’t). Ease of Use To be honest, any fan is pretty dead simple to use, but some are easier than others. In the case of these two, the Lasko comes with fairly simple instructions: push the power button to turn on, adjust the speed, etc. The Dreo has similarly simple instructions, but also has some additional options (mute, auto mode, natural mode, etc.). Also, the Dreo instructions are delivered in a much more appealing and professionally polished package, which I can’t ignore. Providing an instruction booklet like this sends a message to your customers that you take their experience seriously. One feature of the Dreo that isn’t included in the instructions is the easy to remove and clean back panel. If you’ve ever run a fan for any amount of time, you know that you’ll be dealing with dust buildup. With the one screw panel removal, the Dreo makes that much simpler. The back panel on the Lasko looks like you’ll have to remove six screws, but I’m not sure if it’s really designed to remove and clean. Conclusion Choosing from a wide selection of very similar products can be daunting at the best of times. For something like a tower fan, there’s really just not that much to the hardware to differentiate one from the other, but Dreo does manage to bring a more compelling product to the market. With quieter operation, a large and bright LED display, more features, a more appealing design, and a better user experience, the Dreo 36” tower fan really does offer a better product than the Lasko 2511. And you’ll pay $10 more for that difference, as the Lasko only costs 59.99, while the Dreo retails for 69.99. Whether or not the upgrades are worth the extra expense is really up to you, but for a product that will last for years to come, my money is on Dreo. ... show more

Quiet, Stylish, and Powerful Fan with a Few Small Room-for-Improvement Points

The DREO Tower Fan is a very solid fan overall, especially for a bedroom, office, or living room where you want good airflow without a lot of noise. The design looks clean and modern, and the white color blends nicely with most rooms without looking bulky or out of place. One of the best things about this fan is how quiet it is. Even when running at lower speeds, it is easy to keep on while sleeping, working, or watching TV without it becoming distracting. The upgraded DC motor feels smooth, and the multiple speed settings make it easy to find the right airflow level depending on the room temperature. The airflow is also impressive for a bladeless-style tower fan. It moves air well, and the 90° oscillation helps spread the breeze across the room instead of only cooling one small area. The remote control is convenient, and having 8 speeds and 4 modes gives plenty of flexibility. I also like that it does not take up much floor space. It is tall, slim, and easy to place in a corner or next to a bed. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that while it performs very well, it is not completely perfect. For a larger room, I feel like it may still need to run at higher speeds to make a strong difference, and at those settings, the sound is more noticeable. My New LOVE

I recently renovated my home office and decided to go with a traditional light fixture on the ceiling vs. installing another ceiling fan. Of course, that took away my option of having a gentle breeze in the room should I need it. And, living in the South, it is NEEDED! Decided to stick with my plan of using a light fixture, I began looking for a tower fan. I've had one before by another brand but I wasn't all that impressed with it to be honest. It was loud, even on the lowest setting, and I never felt that much air coming from it. Not only that, the remote was very cheap and I had to repeatedly press the buttons to get them to work. Given my experience with that fan, I was hesitant to try this one. However, I was instantly super impressed the moment I set it up and turned it on. First of all, the remote is solid and easy to use. I find the fan to be so quiet, especially on the lowest setting that I forget that it's even on. I've already accidentally left in on overnight when I'm not in my office! I've had to start leaving the remote within my viewing range to remember to turn it off when I leave the room. Amazingly, too, I've not felt the need to have it on any higher than 1 (the lowest setting) because it so effectively moves air through the area of the room I need it the most that there's no need to turn it up any higher. Given that I work from home, not having a loud fan in the background as I'm on the phone with clients is a huge win! I was so impressed with this fan that I bought a second one two weeks later to use in our den. The den is a huge room (used to be an extra large double-car garage) with a high ceiling. I had my doubts I'd be able to use the fan only on the lowest setting in there, but sure enough, I can! Again, it so effectively moves air about that there's no need to go any higher. It provides just enough circulation to help keep things cool, yet doesn't interfere at all with our watching TV. To say I love this fan would be an understatement! ... show more

My Favorite Fan

Wow... I was actually surprised when I realized I purchased this fan in 2022. And it's still currently the one I'm using. I went through so many fans for years. Fans that worked for a little while then stopped. Fans that were supposed to be "quiet" yet made weird noises that were too annoying to sleep. I purchased this fan in 2022... and I'm still currently using it (omg please don't let me jinx myself haha). I not only have to have a fan to sleep but also because I often get too hot while sleep. I can't sleep without a fan, the "fan noise" is a must to help me sleep but the noise has to be just right, no weird extra sounds. Yep, sounds weird because it's hard to explain and most won't understand. And I could always tell when a fan starting making noise. So I'm quite particular about my fans and this one has been absolutely perfect. Just the right amount of "fan noise" but otherwise quiet. Super easy to set up and work. Also the perfect size for my room as well as using in larger rooms in the home. I like that it has different speeds so I can adjust it to my likes and needs, I typically set it on 4 but sometimes have bumped it all the way up to 6. It's great not only to keep the room cool at night for sleeping but also helps during the insanely hot summer so I don't have to use the AC so much (example, the heat index today is 110 and this fan is keeping the house cool enough that I can bump my AC up instead of it having to run constantly). The remote is also great especially on nights electricity goes out so I don't have to get up each time. Settings stay as currently set when you simply turn the fan off and on but if it does go off due to power outage, it resets (back to 4 instead of 6). Another thing, this fan has held up through numerous power outages! Definitely well made... I have three cats who get the zoomies and sometimes crash into things, including the fan. Not only has it held up the few times they have knocked into it, it hasn't made new noises and hasn't completely fallen over. Many tower fans are easy to knock over but the base on this one works great at keeping it stable and upright, even with cat zoomies crashing into it. I'll definitely purchase again when the time comes. ... show more

This fan is great, super quiet it doesn’t even make a noticeable “fan” noise until speed 4. The speed range is amazing and the air blowing does feel cool at every speed.
