I bought this heater for work because my office gets pretty cold. I wanted something compact, powerful, but also quiet because I didn't want to disturb any of my co-workers. This one seemed to meet those criteria based on the reviews, and I'm happy to say that it's exactly what I wanted. It's got a low hum, but it's pretty quiet and you only really notice it if you're right next to it. I put it under my desk and it does a great job heating up pretty much the whole office. It works so well that it kinda makes it feel like a sauna in there. In fact, it might feel a little too much like a sauna. The other day I was sitting in my office, and all of a sudden this guy came in wearing only a towel. I was like, "What are you doing here?" and he said, "Isn't this the sauna?" So I responded, "No, this is my office, please leave." Only he didn't leave, he just sat down and enjoyed the warmth. I was upset at first, but it turned out the guy was actually pretty nice and we ended up having a pleasant conversation. He's coming back next Thursday for another session. But anyway, overall I'm very happy with the heater and I definitely recommend it. ... show more

When I unboxed and set the heater up, all o my impressions were positive: size, appearance, ease of use, helpful quick start and more detailed instructions. I turned it in and was very pleased with its efficacy. Far superior to space heaters of many sizes that I have encountered in the past. The warmth and ability to control it were great. The fan was quiet and smooth. The unit could be used in fan-only mode. One thing I had not expected was the ECO mode. It is a gem. This mode lets you set a temperature, and then the unit chooses what heat level to use to achieve it. It adjusts itself to fluctuations of temperature. Really neat! The timer offers one hour increments, and is easy to adjust. Should you not use the timer, there is an automatic shut down at 24 hours. I guess that last point means that the unit is meant to run for significant lengths of time. Mine did not. I used the unit in eco mode for about two hours and then shut it off when I left the area. When I came back, a couple of hours later, I set it up to run overnight—again in ECO mode, and with a lower temperature. It worked a beautifully for approximately 7.5 hours.. I turned it off when I got up. Then, as the afternoon drew on and day got colder, I went to snuggle up with the heater and watch a movie. That is when I noticed that the fan was not turning. I read through all of the troubleshooting instructions, none of which address this issue. The heating element continues to function, but, unfortunately, it does not project the heat more than a couple of inches from the unit. I have initiated a replacement process and we’ll see. First heater ever that got everything right. Even though its small it heats a large room. Been complaining for years for these people who have been making appliances lately to either get rid of the annoying loud button beep sound they keep putting on everything that just disturbs the piece late at night and even in the daytime or at least make an option to mute it for 90% of us who don't need it or want it. This is the first company who did that. The beep sound that happens everytime you push a button actually is soft and low sounding but they actually had enough sense to make it so you can mute it. Perfect. Finally no annoying beep. AND no toxic smell. Too many heaters and TVs and appliances give off extreme toxic burn smell when you first buy them and totally ruins the product. This one didnt stink. Thats extremely rare. And the most important thing when it comes to a heater is how the heater automatically circulates on and off. This is another rare thing with a lot of heaters getting to the temperature you want while not getting too hot and staying way past the temperature you set or staying too cold. The thermostat is perfect. Goes on and off just like its supposed to exactly like central air heat in your house. Plus it looks good. Has a hi tech look. The only thing that was a dimwit moment when they made it was making the buttons un readable. You cant see the buttons unless you use a flash light in the dark or get real close to it in the daytime. They made the buttons thin outlines which are the same color as the heater. Other than that it doesn't get any better than this ... show more

Great heater at a great price! Heats up quickly. Almost silent! The face is only warm to the touch even when the heat has been running for over an hour, which is very important to me. The only flaw is (as other reviewers mentioned) that you can't see the buttons on top of it. They are flat buttons, like a touch screen without a screen. There are no visible markings, and the material is such that I even have to angle the light at it just right to be able to see the very minimal etchings. So, my solution was to use dimensional fabric paint that dries raised from the surface to indicate each button. Now it is easy to see the buttons, and at night I can feel them. Truly the buttons are a design flaw, but the heater works so well that I still give it 4 stars. ... show more

I am very sensitive to noise and have been dismayed by the loud noise of a couple other highly rated and supposedly quiet small appliances i recently purchased -- a fan and handheld vacuum. Man, this heater is nothing like that. Genuinely whisper quiet. An added bonus was realizing it can serve as an unheated fan only. Buttons are dark on dark so hard to read; a little colored tape solved that. It's reducing my use of baseboard heat so I expect it to reduce my heating bill. ... show more

This thing is great for heating not just a small room but an entire small house. In about 24hrs it heated an entire house from around 50 degrees to about 75 degrees. Of course the further you are from the heater, the colder it gets in the house but that's still pretty good. Then after it was done, it stopped heating so that way it doesn't burn out like those small black heaters you can get. I love this thing. It saved me and my cats from the cold while I figure out how to activate real heating in my house. ... show more
