It’s still the middle of the summer so I haven’t tried using this to heat the home yet, but I did test it out when it arrived. The instructions say to run it at high power for two hours to burn off anything left on during manufacturing, so I plugged it in and cranked it up for those two hours. It comes very nicely packaged and fully assembled. The only thing that you need to do is unfold the wheels and plug it in. I was playing with the front panel at first, but the display isn’t exactly intuitive so I had to break out the instructions to figure out what it was doing. I figured it out soon enough. I also tried out the remote and it works well, too, with a decent range. I hung around the heater for the first few minutes and could feel heat coming off of it, but it wasn’t something that was really impressing me. Compared to an electric space heater, it doesn’t seem like it was putting out very much heat. I got busy doing something else and came back to check on it around 30 minutes later, and it was a different story. It was really cranking out heat, enough that there was a breeze from the hot air rising from it. I gingerly tried touching it, and while the exposed parts were hot, they weren’t “burn yourself” hot. I think that the hottest parts are deeper inside where you can’t touch them. Our home has a heat pump for the winter, but lately it’s been getting colder in the winter than usual. Sometimes the heat pump doesn’t feel like it is keeping up, and when the auxiliary heat strips turn on, the utility meter really starts spinning. It’s a lot more economical to let the rest of the home stay cooler and use a smaller heater to just heat the rooms that were occupying. We have a nice space heater permanently mounted in a fireplace frame in our bedroom, but for some reason, it doesn’t have a thermostat nor can it be controlled by a thermostat plug. I really like that this heater has a temperature setting so that it can keep the room comfortable all night while we’re sleeping. This heater is really, really good. It looks nice, it’s very portable, and it appears to be a much safer design than a traditional electric space heater. It’s going to be a very welcome addition as soon as the colder seasons start.

Oil filled radiator by Dreo made in the USA I believe. Dreo specialize in climate and kitchen tech products. This is my my first time using them even though I have 4 oil filled radiators . I like this portable no fuss direct hat that they give. I put one in my farthest room that always seems cooler than the rest of the house. One in my mud room for drying wet gloves and coats in the winter. My oldest one I keep in the garage for when needed. This one is going in my kitchen always on low temp to dry my dish towels. I have heated floors which I love but so handy to have portable direct heat. Here’s my list of likes: I like that it comes very well packed and fully assembled & ready to go inc. wheels attached. It feels like someones taken care with this as soon as you start unpacking it. Love the stay cool side handle so you can easily wheel it around even when very hot. Appreciate the button batteries come in the remote, so it is ready to go straight out the box. Although can be touch screen or remote controlled Nice to have features are: Has two heat vents both on the side & top, note do not cover the vents if you are drying something. The whole side panel is an LED display The long vertical line you can see in my photo is the temperature indicator which ranges from cold warm, comfort & hot. It has 3 heat settings & a thermostatic setting so it will self regulate between a set temperature. Has a child lock so little fingers cannot turn it up and get hot. It is 15” wide, excluding the pull handle. Stands 26” tall including the wheels It does get very hot within minutes Note, when you first use it run it on full hot for 2 hours. In the instruction booklet. Couple of things Im not sure about. At first excited it had a 6 foot cord but I cannot find an out of the way place to store the excess when plugged in. Don’t want it hanging around as a trip hazard. Would like it in other colors, is a nice color but would have preferred a lighter one. I am am so happy with this, it is way better than my current radiators and exceeds my expectations. I cannot imagine they come much better than this and I I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Even though it is currently August, I turned this space heater on to test a few things! The heat level is good and I think it will keep up with chilly days/evenings in our garage work shop. It heated up very quickly and the heat seems to be very evenly distributed across the fins. I like that the fins have a different shape that is rounded on the outside rather than a straight, sharp edge. This fin design keeps the outer area much cooler and safer which I like a lot since I usually have dogs in the shop with me. Because I have dogs in shop, I also like that it has tip over protection. I did tip it gently over and it shut off immediately at the stated 40-degree-ish zone. I tipped it back up and it required that I turn it on again as opposed to coming right back on at the previous setting. While that is a little cumbersome, I think it's a good idea for safety. I also like that it has a thermostat to maintain a specific area temp so that I do not have to turn it on/off manually. The large digital display is easy to see from a distance. It is extremely quiet since it is a radiant not a fan heater. It rolls around easily on the wheels and I like the wide handle to move it around. For $140, I think it's a really good value. I think I will get a lot of use out of this heater in the winter!
