  • You can redirect it with the remote.
This review is for the Dreo Poly Fan 306 for Bedroom, 80° Oscillating Fan with Remote. I like it! It’s a great fan. But let’s skip to what makes it different than your average fan. I mean, they all blow air. I don’t care about noise because I like white noise. What do I like about THIS fan? PROS: *Adjustable height. It goes from 34 – 41 inches. That gets you up to about counter height. So it’s a decent height just sitting on the floor but can also be used sitting on something. *It remote controlled! You don’t have to get up to adjust it! *They put a holder for the remote right there on the fan so you won’t lose it! *OK, this one I’ve never seen on a fan. It oscillates. Awesome. But that’s not what I’m excited about. Let’s say I set up the fan across the room and it’s pointing at me on the couch. But I move on the couch and now it’s not pointing at me but I’m too lazy to get up. I can turn on the oscillation with the remote. Ah but then I can turn it off right when it hits me and now I’ve redirected the fan with just the remote! That’s pretty dang awesome. That is the best feature of this fan in my humble opinion. You can redirect it with the remote. Amazing. CONS: *The timer function is a bit worthless. The manual says you press the button to cycle through the hour increments. But then it keep cycling through them. Hit it 20 times, I have no idea what it’s set on. *The cord comes from the fan itself, not the bottom of the base. I’m not actually considering this a negative or a positive. If I had it permanently set up in my house, I’d probably vastly prefer the cord to come out of the bottom of the base like a lamp. I don’t want to see the cord. If, however, I’m on my patio or my workshop moving it around, having it on the fan is easier. So it could be a positive or a negative. CONCLUSION: Did I mention you can turn it with the remote? What else do you need to know? ... show more

  • A very good fan for the money, good (but not great) range of motion, needs a carry handle. Perfect?
This is a GREAT room fan. It's quiet. Very quiet. But also can move a lot of air. Has a nice remote, and place to put it, on the stand. Has a well weighted base (seems suprisingly heavy when first picked up). Is height adjustable (but wish the motor/fan part could be set directly on the floor, for drying floors, etc.) The range of angles is good, but not quite as broad as I'd hoped. It can point a bit past straight up, and just a few degrees down below horizontal, so you can't really point it down at the floor. The remote is handy - does exactly as I expected, from any inside distance. Turns out it also has an 'aroma pad' you can apparently put drops of 'smell good stuff' on, but I'm not interested in that 'unusual' feature myself. It really ought to have a handle on the top to make it easier to carry from room to room (I move mine around a bit, like to help dry clothes on a line (indoors). I'ts not perfect, but for circulating air in a large room, with a reasonable degree of control, this is a solid Winner! I have several fans (ex-smoker) and my previous favorite is the Dyson table top fan, which has may of the same abilities (and can be sat directly at floor level), but is outrageously priced - this one is about as valuable to me, but at a fraction of the cost. I'm happy to recommend this fan - now, can they make a version that sits on the floor or at desk height? ... show more

  • Dreo Poly Fan 306th Remote control
Pros: 1) It is a good looking floor fan. 2) It is easy to put it together. 3) It comes with Remote control, it uses CR2025 coin cell battery. 4) it is very quiet even at the maximum speed, at low speed it put out nice calm breeze good for sleeping at night. 5) It can be set to Oscillation mode. 6) The fan can be tilited up 90 degree from straight horizontal position but it can't be tilted down. 7) It draws 23W at Low speed, 32W at Medium speed, and 40W at High speed. 8) The fan shroud is about 10 inch in diameter, the fan blade is about 7.5 inch in diameter. Cons: 1) The fan heasd can't be tilted down. 2) It is hard to open the Remote control to replace the battery. 3) It does not remember last state of the fan when the power goes out and comes back on, I.E. if the fan was on then the power goes out, when the power comes back on the fan will not come back on, you will have to be there to turn it back on again. Overall it is a good buy for this type of floor fan for less than $60, it is a good deal for what you get for the money. ... show more

  • Small footprint, but quiet with great output! Useful remote., timer function a little uninituitive
This fan is solidly made. Assembly was straight-forward and easy. It has some weight to it so it doesn't wobble around when it is operating. On lowest speed, you can feel a comfortable breeze 10+ ft. away and the highest speed puts out a blast that is almost too powerful! There is virtually no fan sound at the lowest speed and only modest sound at the med. speed. There is noticeable wind sound at high speed, but no unpleasant high-pitched or vibration noises. It has an adjustable head and a swing function, so it's easy to get the breeze right where you want it. The remote is a great asset. It isn't lit, so you can't read it in the dark, but it has a simple layout with raised buttons and it doesn't take long to memorize it. I really like that there are function buttons on the fan body, so you can still use the fan if you lose the remote. The only function that can only be controlled with the remote is the timer. If I had to call out a negative, it would be the timer setting. Knowing how long you have set it for depends on counting and remembering the number of times you pressed the timer button, or figuring out and memorizing an illumination pattern on the rear of the fan body. There is an Auto setting which allows the fan to change the speed setting if the room temp goes up or down, but there doesn't seem to be a thermostat, so I don't understand how that works or the benefit of it. The alert sound that lets you know when a setting has changed is rather shrill, so it is nice that there is a mute button which allows you to turn that off. ... show more
