I've been wanting a bedroom clock that is actually dimmable to replace an ancient one that had two settings: Bright and REALLY Bright. I honestly had no idea how much light pollution my old clock was throwing off until I swapped it with this one, but my room is so much darker now! And that means I'm sleeping much better! I have it on Level 2 and it barely throws off any light at night, but is still bright enough to be seen during the day, as long as it's not in direct sunlight. The clock itself was easy to set up and adjust to the right brightness. Additionally, it's got a stylish aesthetic that looks so much nicer than my old clunky clock. The wood matches my bedroom furniture, and the soft amber color is much more soothing than the blue of my old clock. And the numbers are large and easy to read, even across the room (helpful since I wear glasses). Seems well made. And the price was reasonable. I haven't used the alarm and probably won't. I like this a lot! The sound level of the alarm can be adjusted a lot. Also there seems to be a little ramp up into it. It starts a little softer than it's set before blaring. I love how dim you can make the display. It's not glaring at night, but you could set it much brighter if you'd prefer. The large numbers are clear to read. It's also intuitive to adjust the settings as well as having clear instructions/helpful symbols on the back to explain it. I like that you can have a backup battery in there. My only note is that the USB outlet on the back of it is definitely not powerful. It'll get the job done, just very slowly. My phone battery is pretty old, so that probably contributes. But just be aware of that. I usually use it for charging things like ear buds or a watch rather than my phone Nothing to do with this product, but I do miss a big old snooze button. This alarm clock exceeded my expectations. I placed it on top of my wooden nightstand and it looks like it truly belongs there — very clean, modern, and stylish. The wood finish is beautiful, and it blends perfectly with my décor. It was very easy to set up and use right out of the box. I really appreciate that the display brightness is adjustable, which is great for nighttime. The numbers are clear and easy to read without being harsh or overwhelming. I also love that the design isn’t overly masculine. It pairs perfectly with the pink lamp on my nightstand and would honestly look great with just about any décor style. I like that you can use batteries or plug it in. It's lighter than I thought it would be based on it's looks, but it works. The alarm is gradual, but gets LOUD! Looks good, works fine. It's "fake wood" but it looks pretty real and blends in nicely with furniture. The LED color is a quite nice amber, the time kinda 'appears out of the wood', the pic of this product is reasonably accurate. Digits are huge (in a good way). The dimming works well too, the dimmest is _really_ dim (as seen in the middle of the night). It would be nice if it auto-adjusted the dimming based on ambient light (as such clocks have done since the 70s). Overall, definitely worth the money, looks decent, no complaints ... show more

This is an extremely well-designed basic alarm clock. The wood-finish clock looks very attractive! Kudo's to the manufacturer for including a simple, well-written, easy-to-read instruction guide for setting up and operating the clock. The large 2"-high display is easy to read and highly visible (even from 30 feet). The time and alarm setting buttons are intuitive. Long-press either time-set or alarm-set to enter the setting mode and to advance to the next step. Plus and minus buttons allow setting each of hours and minutes in either direction. A DST (Daylight Savings Time) button allows adjusting +/- one hour without having to go through the time-setting procedure. While active, a DST indicator displays. Display brightness and alarm volume are adjustable. While an alarm is set, a bell symbol appears in the display. The alarm set time can be displayed for five seconds by briefly pressing/releasing the alarm set button. Two AAA batteries provide backup of the time/alarm settings during a power outage. The alarm will sound at the set time during a power outage if the AAA batteries have not run down. The time is NOT displayed while running on the backup battery. The AC adapter must be used at all times. The alarm may be silenced for nine minutes with a touch snooze button on the top. Briefly pushing any button on the rear turns off the alarm until the next day. The alarm may be completely turned on/off with the Alarm On/Off button. Having just received it, I cannot comment on long-term accuracy. My one gripe: There is no low-battery indicator. Have to remember to change the backup batteries periodically. The instructions also do not say how long the battery will last during a power outage or how often the batteries should be changed. My guess - change annually if there has not been a power outage. I.m happy with the looks and function. I actually never use the alarm feature, I use my iPhone for that. I like that it has battery backup for when we have an outage, although Colorado Springs Utilities is owned by the city and very seldom has a failure. But it is nice knowing the feature is there when they do. My old clock, probably 15 years old, had a "fader" to control brightness but that was the part that failed and led me to purchase this unit. Brightness is controlled in discreet steps and can actually turn the display off. It was nice to have a wood grain look, everything seems to be black or snow white. ... show more
