I would give this alarm clock 5 stars except for two shortcomings: 1.) The dimmer function is lame. It should self adjust either to ambient light levels in the room -or- adjust to a set schedule. As is, the lowest setting (L1) cannot be read during the day because it is too dim and the next highest setting (L2) is too bright at night when trying to sleep. 2) The wireless charger is kinda weak. It is true, I have a case on my phone, but I have other chargers that work fine with this same case/phone combo. Using this charger, I have to be very precise on the placement to get a charging confirmation. Even so, I often wake to find the phone NOT charged even though I had the charge confirmation. If you are sensitive to light while sleeping and want a set and forget, this clock is not the one. I wanted a happy medium on how bight or dim the clock can display. This comes with 5 preset settings on how bright you can select the display. 0 = basically off and 5 = highly visible with direct light on it. When sleeping the 1 setting is dim enough to sleep to without being woke, but it is too faint to see in the day, so you have to click it to setting 2 which is a major jump from the 1 setting in brightness. Setting 2 is way to bight for nighttime sleep. So basically you have to constantly change the setting back for forth. Now if your not sensitive to bright light at night, set it on setting 2 and you have a great clock. It clock also looks great, charges wireless and has USB ports for more charging. ... show more
