I love the blue numbers for the time and it is easy to read. Only downside I can see is that you have to plug it in for it to work. You can not run if off batteries. Easy to set and I like the auto dim setting

    • Print Size for Instructions needs to be larger
It is ironic that this clock (which I like very much) comes with instructions which have such small print and printed diagrams that the instructions are difficult to read, even with glasses and aided by a magnifying lens. ( I have now bought a larger magnifying lens than my jeweler's loup--which only works anyway when held close to the eye. Manufacturer, Please take note and print larger font instructions and diagrams. Also please drop the very obvious and gratuitous comments on being a good gift for those with dementia and alzheimers. It is, but it is off-putting to read that when you are old and buying it for yourself and still have all your marbles. I bought it anyway because I wanted a clock I could see across the room in the dark. I'm happy it also has the day, date, year, and temperature features, too. I like that. But primarily I was looking for a clock I could read in the dark across the room and would automatically change the time in accord with daylight savings time. This does all that and keeps time in accord with atomic clock signals. Everything I wanted at a reasonable price. I would also add that buyers should beware buying digital clocks which have black figures on pale backgrounds. Those, you CAN NOT read in the dark, and even this clock can be set to dim at night. Make sure you have it set not to do that. IT IS A VERY GOOD CLOCK TO SEE THE TIME IN THE DARK. (also to see the other features). I recommend buying it, but if you have access to a xerox machine, you might want to use the machine to copy the instructions in an enlarged format. The clock is good. ... show more

Great lighting on this with adjustable dimmer settings. There are multiple alarms you can set but they all have to use a title like gardening or medicine, I would really like to just have an alarm without having a bright label for it. So having so many alarms you can use but not a plain one without a title that lights up surprises me. I also don't like how all the controls are on the back as I have it wall mounted. I will have to take it off the wall every time I want to use an alarm. I don't want to deal with that every time so I'l just use it as a wall clock and temp display. Kinda bummed about that but oh well. The rest of it is great quality. ... show more

    • Why would I need to know the indoor temp ? My thermostat does that. Otherwise, decent color digits.
Bought this clock for its soft illumination of day and time. Didn't realize the temp is the indoor temp, pretty useless since I set that myself. Also, it shows the seconds, which constantly moves ~ very annoying as well as another useless display. May place black electrical tape over both the temp and the seconds. Setting everything up is hard to do as the button descriptions are black indentations on black buttons instead of visible writing. This can be fixed w sticky labels on the back above each button. For outdoor temp, clock needs to be Wifi enabled, but that's double the cost, probably worth it. Just as easy to check my cell for that. Note ~ there is a clock that does it all, more than double the cost of this one, but half the display is a useless calendar, making the other displays too small and the clock itself too large.
