First things first. Softness/firmness is very subjective. What is soft to me, or firm to me may not be to you. So take that with a grain of salt. Second. There's a lot of complaints about sagging when sitting on the edge. Perhaps. But, here's a tip: sit back a bit further back. My mattress is very slippery on my bed frame. Im trying to figure a way to "deslipperize" it. The mattress is heavy 72+ pounds. Im older and not superman, but i managed to get it through my place and on the frame by myself. For whatever reason the mattress was upside down coming out-- so flipping it was tricky for me. The mattress itself seems to be great quality, so far. I had two great nights sleep so far. For me the medium firmness is perfect. But, regardless what people may claim, I dont expect an bed to be my cure all for pain relief. I just dont want my bed to be the cause of more pain. Warranty. Well, while its claims seem to be the best in the industry, I'm not holding my breath. Amazon has been great with honoring things thus far, but hopefully I won't have to rely on their 100 days warranty, and more so Dreamclouds 365 day warranty. I'd rather not have to deal with the "its Amazon's problem. It's Dreamclouds problem". If I have to deal with that situation within the next 362 nights, I'll update. Im also concerned about the "forever" warranty. But, let's be honest, it HAS to be better than the usual "10 year limited" warranty. Even if forever doesn't last as long as it used to. Expanding time: it supposedly does not ruin anything if you sleep on it before 3 full days to expand. It just means its not guaranteed to be at peak performance yet; it'll continue to expand until its done. Bottomline: its only been a couple nights; but Im very happy at this point. Anything changes, I'll report it. Next check back time: August 2025 for 3 month update.

I read the reviews before purchasing, reading the pros and cons of buying this type of mattress. I went to a local mattress store and tried out their "hybrid" mattresses, not telling them I was sizing it up for an online purchase. This was significantly cheaper than buying from the stores in town. I read one gentleman's review that gave me the confidence to give it a try. He raved about how great the mattress was and would return to give updates along the way to inform whether it was only a quality mattress in the beginning and if it depreciates along the way type entries. I am happy to say, "that guy was spot on" - it's a great mattress. Yes it is a little different than regular mattresses - if you are trending to always sit on the very edge of the mattress (not fully with your knee and butt area all on the bed) you will feel what you think is a weakness and it's not firm (I assume this is normal, as the local store hybrid mattress was the same way...). You have to literally sit fully in the bed with your knees right up the mattress before sitting down to avoid this. Once you are in the bed it's amazing - it is not weak by any means, it is extremely comfortable. I have a bad back - birth defect - have had to sleep in a recliner for the last few years. This is the FIRST mattress that I can actually sleep on and still walk the next morning - I have thanked God nightly upon lying down because of the relief and comfort this mattress offers me. I primarily sleep on my side with some back positioning at times. My husband sleeps on his side/back/stomach and he likes the mattress also. We could not sleep in the same bed because of our varied preferences and needs in a mattress. We got the wild idea to buy 2 xl twin mattresses and put them together to build the king bed. It's PERFECT, we don't wake one another up moving around, can get in/out of the bed without disturbing the other one etc. My need for a firm/softer mattress and his need for a firmer/not as soft as my preference mattress was met in this one mattress selection -it's literally the BEST mattress we have ever slept on. HIGHLY recommend this particular mattress. ***I bought 3 xl twin mattresses - one for me/husband for the king bed and one for my elderly 85 yr old mother who said her back was hurting with the old mattress. We are all three very happy with our selection of this hybrid mattress that arrived in a box haha That alone scared me - arriving in a box? Who would have thought it would turn out to be such a godsend for us all? **NOTE: I was prepared to buy whatever mattress type I needed and whatever my husband needed - which is partially why we went to the mattress shop to test out all of the mattress types in person. I anticipated us to have different mattresses due to our history of hating the other one's preferences for a mattress...amazingly we both ended up liking the same mattress in the store over all other high-end mattresses (the hybrid won us both). I would have to say - this is a HIGH-END mattress as it definitely met the criteria of consumer satisfaction - which should be the ruling element in determining what is "high-end" and what is not.

I was skeptical about buying a mattress in a box. I didn’t want something uncomfortable, but I couldn’t spend a fortune. I went to 6 furniture and mattress stores, and all the ones I liked were $3,000 or more. After many frustrating trips and still no mattress, I ordered this without ever trying it. Not only was I pleasantly surprised, I actually love it. It’s very comfortable. I will say that if you don’t like a firm mattress, you might want to try something else. The only criticism I have is that it sleeps hot, but a cooling mattress topper has helped that issue. Definitely consider this if you want an affordable, firm mattresses.

Every bed in a box I have bought always opens up side down. So I thought I would call the Dream Cloud for tips on how to keep this from happening and I get a non English speaking person who has no idea what I’m talking about. I hung up and sure enough the mattress opened up side down. Turning it over is a pain and so unnecessary. No videos tips on their website and the funny thing is I get an email the next day from Nectar wanting me to evaluate the previous day’s call person and service center. I will report the bed is fairly comfortable but not as firm as described.

It's only been a week but so far this mattress is exactly what I wanted. It is firm and has amazing support. My hips don't get sore when I'm on u sides and I feel no more aches and pains in the morning. The surface of the mattress is not hard but some might still think so. It wouldn't be bad if you wanted to put a topper on the mattress but I don't need to. I'm super happy with this mattress. It's dreamy.
