I got these for the retaining wall next to my driveway. I though it might be hard to run the wires to the back of the retaining wall but it was pretty easy by drilling the corners of the bricks. I also thought it might be hard to get the lights between the bricks but that wasn't hard either. I cut part of the flange on some of the lights but most went in without cutting. I like that the colors can be changed from a button on each light instead of a remote or app. But the best part of these lights is that the yellow color actually looks bright yellow. Many of my landscaping light the yellow is a sickly green color. And the warm white color matches my other lights. I recommend these lights.

I contracted for some retaining walls around my front beds and ordered this six-pack of "HIBOITEC Hardscape Lighting Low Voltage 7 Inch LED Retaining Wall Lights" to light up the interior of the beds after the walls were built. Lo and behold, that's finally done and I laid out the lights today. I'm happy to report that they work well. Installation was easy: each light has a waterproof low voltage plug and separate socket, so the lights can be daisy-chained. It is possible to extend the length of the wire between the lights or even connect them all directly to the trunk, but I like this arrangement. I actually use the same kinds of male/female waterproof twist connectors on my other outdoor lights, as this makes it easy to rearrange and move them around. When I first received these lights, I tested these in my garage with a 12V battery charger to make sure they all worked, and they did. Today, after laying them out, I capped the last socket with the included cap, and connected the first plug to my 12V trunk line and once again, they lit up perfectly. I had previously decided not to mortar them into the wall because I expect the wall to outlast any lights, so instead I'm going to use construction adhesive to glue the plates to the back of the wall under the cap. But first, I'm going to play with moving them around and finding the best orientation and layout over the next few evenings and for now, I just stuck the plates into the ground to hold the lights steady. I took some photos which are attached. My only criticism, which most might view as a benefit, is that the lights are really bright. I do wish there was an option to dim them but that would also increase the complexity and introduce a possible failure point as dirt gets into everything. In my case, once I stick up the lights, I'll likely point them downward to reduce the brightness a bit. They are definitely 2700K, warm white, which is an HOA requirement in many areas and the 7" size works really well with retaining walls. Finally, the price is reasonable. The lights also run warm. Actually, hot. Not a problem in this application, of course, but you'll definitely want to turn them off during the day with a timer on the transformer to save energy and extend the life of the lights. It probably doesn't need to be said, but I'll say it anyway: these are 12V lights and require a 12V lighting transformer. They do not plug into 120V outlets -- you need the transformer. I personally use Ring transformers because they are reliable, can be controlled by Alexa voice commands, and timing (on/off) can be handled with Alexa routines. These lights work perfectly with my outdoor lighting system, and I recommend them.

I just got these installed. They are so cool!! I couldn't wait until sunset to see how they look at night. What a difference. I installed them along the top of a fence -- underneath a horizontal cap (Cedar 2x4). I made a groove in the 2x4 with my router to conceal and protect the low-voltage wiring. These fixtures have a bracket that fit perfectly under the board and fastened down with stainless steel screws. I simply ran the wire, tied the lights together and capped it all off with the cedar 2x4 I'd prepared. The whole setup is basically invisible until the nighttime. Then the magic happens! These lights function gracefully; washing down the fence and the ground below. They aren't stark and don't create blinding bright spots but provide gentle illumination along our walkways. Each fixture produces a warm, soft white light akin to incandescent color temperatures. I don't like the look of ultra white or blueish lighting at all (unless it's an industrial or commercial application). These are elegant and produce light that fits in well with other "soft" lighting around the exterior of our home. I have these controlled to come on with all the other exterior lighting on our property. It's a neat effect to have everything cycle on/off at the same time. The location that I've installed these have been dark areas, and were always a problem; especially during fall and winter months. It is such an improvement that we plan to install more of these in other areas for the effect on fencing and landscape retaining walls. It will look awesome when finished. I can't say enough good about these little lights. They are compact, efficient, high quality, and easy to install. ...Super flexible and adjustable. I recommend them wholeheartedly. These are substantial lights that are a gift for my son's birthday. They have an ADU with steps and these should light them perfectly. The only failing I can see is that they did not come with a power supply - but that is small price to pay to get well made, substantial lights for his staircase.

I have installed several sets of similar landscape lights on my property prior to these. I think that these are the best built and nicest quality units I've seen so far. I installed them on both sides of my staircase in the block walls. I like that the plate is large enough to hold easily in place everywhere I used them. Also, they used nice stainless material and buttonhead screws. The color (warm white in my case) matched my other landscape lights well (most are 2,700 degrees) and the light output was even and spread nicely. Since they came with mating connectors installed, setting them up was very simple. One item I would like them to improve is to include another one or two connectors, as they only included one, and that only works if you are wiring them in a line, where I split mine on both sides of my stairs, so I had to cut the wires and splice them in. However, for $80, these are well worth the money.

roduct: 7 Inch LED Low Voltage 12-36V AC/DC Retaining Wall Lights Brand : HIBOITEC ASIN : B0CY3QFQBG 💡Impressions: These hardscape wall lights come individually packaged in zip-top bags, each containing mounting screws and anchors. The mounting plate and lamp housing are crafted entirely from aluminum. The LEDs are housed within a resin-filled channel that swivels around a pivot on either side, allowing for adjustment of the lighting angle, which can be secured in place with a Phillips head screw. The finish seemed okay, but not outstanding, and it has an ample length cord, but the wires are tiny. Initially, I had reservations about these lights due to their remarkably low price point. With an output of just 135 lumens and a color temperature of 2700k, I questioned how well they would integrate into my lighting setup. I prefer to create a layered effect with my landscape lighting, brighter towards the front of the house and gradually fading towards the back. I decided to place these lights near our deck in the rear of the house, where I already have some low-voltage lights installed, aiming to create a more relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. To my surprise, the amber color temperature and low brightness of these worked well. While their construction is simplistic, their function is better than I expected. The simple design works effectively, and at just 135 lumens, their brightness works for me. We have an additional wall light that is 3000k and 300 lumens lighting a walk near these; I saw little difference in the color temperature with only a slight difference in brightness. These have proven to be an effective addition to my lighting scheme at an extremely low price point. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Rating: Since three and a half wasn't an option. — Bright enough, amber color and aluminum construction. Nice landscape lights. These are typically used for hardscapr and Rock but I used them under the overhang around a new cedar deck I'm building. The light is a little brighter than I expected but not terrible. I will be adding a dimmer to control the brightness. They are connected to each other with watertight connections so its a nice plug and play installation. You will need a low voktage transformer to power the lights
