Update: I purchased four of these and two of them started leaking out of the front while in use in various nozzle positions- like a seal was leaking. I removed the Philips head screw and then the adjustable nozzle portion. I saw nothing out of the ordinary. There is an 0-ring seal where the water flows and I wiped my finger across it in case something had gotten on that surface, but did not notice anything in particular. I reassembled the unit and the leaks are gone- hopefully forever. Note: There is a very small spring and pointed plunger acting with the detents that WILL fall out if the nozzle is not held upwards with the unit disassembled. It is easily lost and reassembled, if found... I am not removing a star at this point and will see what the distant future brings. Original: For years, we have been using all kinds of adjustable nozzles like this and invariably they start leaking after 1 year of use. This unit inspires confidence and I will update as time goes on per its longevity. This unit puts out more water at all setting than any other we have had. We have high hopes we finally found a quality nozzle of this type. ... show more

    • Works well but does not keep a washer inside the nozzle
This seems well made and has a good selection of spray patterns. However the washer that fits between the hose nozzle and the interior of this device does not stay put. Every time I detach the sprayer from the hose, the washer falls out. I have tried several washer types, so far I've not found one that stays put. ... show more

    • Won't completely shut off.
This thing worked fine for about a month, then it would not shut off completely no matter what I tried to do. I even took it apart to see if there was anything I could do to fix it. It uses a small O-ring that is compressed against the body to stop water flow, but it does not make a good seal and allows water to bypass the O-ring. I even tried to give the spring more compression force, but nothing worked to stop water from getting through. This sprayer seems well built and I wanted it to be my last sprayer, but it did not outlive a butterfly. ... show more

Reasonably priced but the best thing about this nozzle is that it sprays a decent distance and no leaking nozzle like my last one.

This is the older version which I prefer because of different nozzle selection The new version doesn't have the same nozzles like, a soaker and a nice center. The only drawback is that u shape wire that keeps the water on seems to come off after a short time. The newer version has a thumb turn on and off which is okay but if you forget to turn off the water, the next you turn on the water you may be sprayed. ... show more
