I don’t review products. 10 years ago I just happened to need a purple hose for non-potable use and this was the only one I could find, though a bit expensive. I’ve had the hose for ten years now and it has outlasted every other “anti-kink” or unbreakable hose I’ve had since. Its worth every penny because after ten years the hose is still like new. This is one of those rare “buy it for life” items and it makes sense that it costs more. This is such a cliche but I’ll never buy another hose again. I bought a blue one a few years ago to replace a hose I have in an automatic reel. I have a hose in the front that needs to be replaced and I’d rather deal with that crappy hose for a bit longer to save up and buy another dramm and never have to buy another hose again. I wish project farm would have included them in their hose tests. But they don’t test longevity. Never thought I would write a review about a hose but here I am, impressed. ... show more

I have several 100' feet rubber hoses and I just got tired of laying out the impossibly heavy hose and unkinking everything before I could use it and then reversing the process to hang it up. I unrolled this hose and lay it out in my back yard for one day. Since then, I've moved it several times to use with my nifty thrifty Ryobi power cleaner to rinse off my window screens. We've been asked to limit water usage right now, so using this water hose with the power cleaner cuts down tremendously on the amount of water needed to do this. I can carry the whole length of hose from one side of the house to the other and I'm not exhausted by the time I start using the hose. I wish I had done this years ago! They are a bit pricey but as long as they can handle the wear from the sun, I'm more than happy to pay the price. ... show more

I bought the 5/8" 50' hose (red). The hose itself feels really high-quality, but I've only had this hose for a few months, but it clearly has a heavier heft to it and is rubber, not plastic. many folks may complain about kinking of the hose, but I find that the vast majority of people do not wind a hose properly. If you just loop the hose over the rack in one direction you will invariably introduce twists into the hose. If you YouTube videos on how to wind hose or rope without creating twists, this will solve all your kinking-issues. In other words, there is a right way to coil hose and a wrong way. because this hose is heavier-duty than most typical hoses, it should RESIST kinking, but if the hose is all twisted coming off the rack, there's not much you can do. For my application, I do wish I got a longer hose, but it would make the hose much heavier as it is a heavy-duty hose. Anyway, I am a happy customer and would recommend. I hope it has the durability to last outdoors in the SoCal sun for many years... ... show more

This hose has stood up to the Arizona sun and is as good as the day I bought it in 2020. It is hard to kink it and it has withstood hand truck running over it. I'd love to buy another one for the other side of my yard but the price went up from $52.00 to $89.00!

    • The kinkiest hose I own

I’ve had this hose for 5 years and finally got frustrated enough with how much it kinks to write this review complaining about it. I coil it with the “under over” technique that is supposed to help it not kink and it still kinks, every time. Pretty much the only way to use this hose without constant kinking is to uncoil it and stretch it out the full length in a straight line, getting any twists out, before turning the water on. It’s frustrating enough to make me want to give a one star review out of irritation, since it’s advertised as “no kink,” however besides the no kink fallacy it is otherwise a good hose. It is durable, has acquired zero sun damage, cracks or worn spots since I got it, and the fittings are high quality. One star would be unfair but “no kink” it certainly is not. ... show more

I like that the rubber is thick and pliable so that when it does kink, it easily unkinks with a little pull of the hose. The color did change from a sea blue to an indigo blue but that’s ok. It’s still blue and looks nice rolled into a big snake circle on the ground next to the faucet in front of the house. Thank you for that little extra designer’s touch ;) ... show more
