I have been wanting my own auger for some time and decided on trying this one because it could be used with or without external power (drill). The carry bag and gloves are a nice touch. I first tried this thru a clean-out port which is a 4 inch pipe (pic) and would be easy to maneuver through. As expected, it went in easily and was easy to feed more line. Next was the shower drain that keeps clogging up on us even with a hair trap at the drain. I pushed a foot of line at a time. Some places I couldn’t push through unless I was spinning the auger. A couple of times it seemed to be caught and would not go further, but I kept spinning and pushing in and out and it would finally go past the stopped part. After I felt no more resistance, I pulled the line out and found it had gone about 15 feet. I poured water down the drain as fast as I could and I could not keep up with the drainage speed. I cleaned the feed line and left it outside to dry before I roll it back into the casing. It worked well and I’m glad I ordered it. If I could change anything about this auger, it would be to include some different heads for the end that would work better in larger pipes or would scrape the sides of the pipe as it spun.

This little machine will get the job done when used within its capabilities. Please do not show it how strong you are. You will just damage it and be greatly disappointed. It is not a large pipe cleaner. It will open minor clogs in larger pipes and does an excellent job on smaller pipes such as sinks,showers and tubs. You will have to spend a lot more money if you want one that you can show it how strong you are. Be patient and a little more gentle and I think you will be happy with your results. God Bless

Needed to use this product twice. First time I had a heck of a time retracting the cable back into the barrel, but finally got it. I had to use it again the other day and cannot get the fully extended cable to retract. I have googled it and have done exactly what is suggested and it will not retract. Now, after two uses, this product is totally USLESS. Wish I would have know this before the return window closed. Wasted money.
