Just got into tattooing and needed a beginner gun and grabbed this Dragonhawk. Battery run time is pretty good even though a second battery is supplied. Im only doing fake a skin tattoos so far but my art comes out great with this gun. I will say that my hand does cramp up after long rubs due to the girth of this unit so I may need to make an alteration for a more comfortable grip. So far I'm impressed with this budget friendly tattoo gun.

This kit jumped out right away as a strong choice for a beginner. The pen-style machine feels comfortable in the hand, which matters a lot when you’re still finding your grip and building control. It powered up without fuss and allowed me to trace, line, and shade with a confidence I did not expect for the price. The included accessories are enough to get you going. The needles, ink, power supply and carrying case made it easy to start practicing without hunting down extra parts. For someone learning or just setting up a home station the convenience alone adds real value. I appreciated that the machine run was smooth and the stroke consistent, which immediately reduced the number of adjustments I needed to make during the early sessions. In terms of build quality the machine feels more refined than many other beginner kits. The balance is good, the body is lightweight yet solid, and the noise and vibration levels stay modest which helps during longer practice runs. The ability to switch between lining and shading worked well and gave me enough versatility to explore different techniques without upgrading right away. There are a few caveats. If your goal is advanced studio work or high volume sessions you will likely outgrow this fairly soon. Some of the materials—especially in the accessory pack—are clearly designed for early use rather than daily professional workflow. Accessories like extra needles and grips will eventually need replacement if used heavily. Also the carry case is sufficient but not premium. Overall, if you are starting out, practicing technique, or just curious about tattoo work this kit hits the sweet spot between affordability and functionality. It gives you a tool that feels reliable, performs well for entry use and avoids many of the frustrations of very low cost kits. For a beginner I would call this a very good choice.

Super smooth, little to no vibration. This machine is rock solid. Stroke length is adjustable. I use this machine for lining and shading. I really like the display on the machine, easy to read and clear. The buttons let you quickly adjust the speed/voltage up and down. The weight is not heavy which I like as well in this brand. Overall super performance and excellent value for the money!
