We tried with a white board but it was never up to date and got messy and unreadable quickly. Sharing calendars and viewing on phones does not work for us, some family members don't have a phone yet and other are not good at syncing their calendar. We decided on the Dragon Touch 10.1" Digital Calendar based on size, look and price. Setup was easy and everyone quickly learnt how to use it. It syncs with most used online calendars like google and outlook. Calendar can be viewed per day, week or month. Changes done to events syncs quickly. Events can be displayed in different colors, like red for holidays or different color for each individual. The digital calendar is now used by everyone in the family, we are more organized and do not forget events. People check the calendar as soon as they wake up. The digital calendar also can show weather for today and coming days. When not used as a calendar it can show a slideshow of photos that you can upload from your phone. It also have some other features like chores list and meal planning that we have not come around to use. Dragon Touch actively maintain its device and provide updates and bug fixes. These were also easy to get and required no manual steps beside clicking on some update button. Final thoughts, the screen is bright, the frame looks good and feel sturdy and as mentioned before, very easy to use. In fact it came with very detailed instructions, but it was not necessary to read, the device is self explanatory.

A for theory F in application. I got my calendar and parents love it. My dad is early stages of Alzheimer's. About 3 weeks in, the keyboard (internal) no longer pops up, making it not usable. The return process has been terrible. I purchased a warranty, but have to go through the company to return. You have to fill out a form, pack up the calendar and return it. Mind you, I cant erase pictures or data because I do not have the use of the keyboard. Now I have to wait (who knows how long) before I get a new one.

So disappointed after reading other reviews. If you have a color coded Google calendar and sync the calendars, the e-calendar will not have the colors! Tech support basically told me to re do my entire calendar manually on the device which messes up the Google calendar! What a mess. Defeats the entire point of the product.

I had a older model of the Dragon touch photo frame from years ago and I really like it and when this frame came out, I had to jump on it. A nice added feature is the calendar. With having a family, there are always appointments and sports to go to and this calendar helps navigate the day to day activities and make sure I don't forget about anything. And it can connect to your phone, so if you add something onto the calendar on your phone, it will sync with the calendar on the frame which is nice feature too! Overall this frame is rich with features, like tasks, chores, pictures, ect. It's an excellent frame and I'm glad I was able to get one to replace my older model!
