So I got this AC to replace my last, and while it's still a chunky piece of equipment, it was about 3/4ths the size of my last so it was easier to manuever around. The wheels help a little, but depending on if you have carpet like I did, it might make it a little harder to push around. Once I got the hose attached and out of the window, I set it to cool at 64 degrees (don't judge me, I like it cold). It worked great! It also has a removable and cleanable air filter pair that mean you're not buying replacements which I count as a worthy feature. It also was low cost in comparison to the other ones I'd checked out. TLDR; Cools well, a bit compact in comparison to others, and it has washable air filters. Good for a personal AC on the cheaper side. The downside is that it *is* a bit loud. You need to turn up the volume a decent bit for things to come through clearly over it. I also don't know if it can cool as big of a space as it says as I keep my door closed, but it has no trouble with that. Other than that, I can't think of anything I'd complain about or think was odd. ... show more

Very happy with this Portable A/C unit. Very easy to instal. it keeps the room cool, even though I have a bigger room than 450 sf. The size is ok and it performs better than a window A/C.

Works very well easy to install. We have a thermometer in the room and they match up exactly. Cools the room even when very hot outside. It is a little noisy but if you sleep with sounds it’s not an issue. Has a nice sleek appearance and doesn’t take up much space from the room. Would purchase again. ... show more

This has been great thus far. For some awful reason our building management shuts down the AC in October... I get it kinda, I live in a building for seniors and people with disabilities, I happen to be the latter and am by far the youngest resident. Other residents might like to feel as if they live in Florida. That being said, I live in Denver and need like 70-72° and this has been a life saver, super easy set up. I haven't needed to or tried the dehumidifier because, well, Denver is a high altitude desert. The fan/blower is pretty quite but when the AC kicks on you'll know. I'd say it mostly resembles the buzz of power lines. If you've never lived very close to high voltage lines, I'd say it's similar to a cicada that won't STFU. Still worth it though. My husband and I can't say enough good things about this portable AC unit! It was a life saver Our AC unit decided to quit working just as hubby and I came down with COVID. Parts had to be ordered, our house got to 90 degrees (downstairs), probably 100 upstairs. We ordered this, it came quickly and we installed it in our family room. Set up was not difficult but we didn't have wood window casings so had to modify how we placed the foam around the window. We have a somewhat open floor plan so we had to hang up sheets to block off part of the house. The unit cooled our family room and kitchen to 84 degrees but that was good enough for us to be able to get some sleep and stay somewhat comfortable during the day. We had it running day and night for 3 days. We used the continuous drain method and emptied buckets every 4 to 6 hours. It was easy to run. And the value was fantastic! For $255 we now have a back up AC unit we can use with our generator during hurricane season if necessary. Great value! Highly recommend. ... show more

Overall a/c is decent, if you can get over the noise and small product design/packaging issues. Compressor rattling is normal for a portable a/c. However, there is a high pitch buzz from vibrating metal friction with this unit. Sounds like an old refrigerator or bug zappers. I use a/c during the day so I can ignore buzzing to a certain extent. I would have to put in ear plugs If used during sleeping. If I liked my room ice cold, where the compressor would be on constantly, I don’t think I could handle the buzzing sound. I would most likely have returned the unit. Low fan speed is quiet without the compressor. Unfortunately, you can only adjust fan speed on the COLD or the FAN setting and not the AUTO variable room temp setting. The window kit came damaged. Amazon does not offer or sell OEM replacement parts. The buttons on the remote are not very intuitive. I needed the manual and testing around to figure out what they did. This is a reasonably priced unit that does the job, but the buzz makes it questionable if you aren’t use to tuning out annoying sounds in your space. ... show more
