I’m really a paper pencil person, and I have a year wall calendar which I love and still use, but it’s quite cluttered with all our family schedules. The problem is that when I’m out and about scheduling/cancelling appointments I only add it to my phone calendar and forget to add it to the paper calendar. It’s also not easy to find the appointments again later on my phone. This calendar syncs easily with many different calendar apps. It is very straight forward to set up, use, read, and it lets you know what’s going on that day, the next few days or month. Some say it’s a basic calendar that’s not worth the money but it’s perfect for my family. I don’t have to answer the dreaded question of what do we have to do today. Everyone’s schedules are color coded to match my original calendar app. The only complaint I have is that you can’t add to the calendar console directly because it won’t sync back to my phone calendar app. That still ok though because I don't want anyone else changing things without my knowledge anyway. I’m not positive it’s worth it for everyone but it’s definitely worth it for me. Update: 2026 It's been nearly three years since I purchased this product, and I still use it daily. It only just recently started to have problems with the screen, and I worried that I wouldn't be able to do anything about it, first because I purchased it through amazon, and secondly because it's nearly three years old. I was still hopeful, so I contacted customer support. They were quick to respond walked me though trying to fix the product on my own. I really appreciated their wonderful customer service, so I changed my review from 4 to 5 starts. I figured it was time for a new calendar anyway, and was thinking about switching to another brand, but the customer service alone is worth staying with this brand. Skylight is touted as the easiest to setup and use, and I also don't want to have a device with ads or extra busy screens. You can add or remove information currently showing on the screen, and I want my family to see only what is important. I didn't mention in my original review that I also easily sync to other calendars, like the kids' sports, school and everything else. Just so you're aware there's a little bit of a learning curve if you don't already know how to do these things, but I think most people nowadays do. Since I purchased my original skylight there have also been several improvements to the base model without the subscription. I don't subscribe to plus and I still highly recommend it.

Love the device perfect for all the schedules I need, great task setting helped greatly with my cats medication, and Paris perfectly with my iPhone calendar, the task you have tos eat up on the skylight but, I love it it’s expensive but well worth it if you have chores and task and scheduling to maintain, I also love the To do list and grocery list areas, easy to use device

I originally bought a different digital calendar and ended up returning it because I wasn’t happy with it. This one checked every box I was looking for. The combination of a digital photo frame and family calendar is perfect. Instead of another screen on the counter, it actually adds something to the room while keeping everyone’s schedule front and center. The interface is what impressed me most. I didn’t have to hunt through menus or guess what button to press. Everything is laid out in a way that just makes sense. The AI feature has been a huge time saver. I can type or talk naturally and have it add appointments, reminders, or tasks without tapping through a bunch of screens. The chores, stars, and rewards system has been a great motivator for my toddler. It’s simple enough that they understand it, and earning stars has made everyday routines much easier. I also like that each family member can choose their own character. It’s a small feature, but it makes the calendar feel personalized and easy to glance at. If you’re looking for a family calendar that’s easy to learn, quick to update, and doesn’t feel overcomplicated, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I absolutely love this product! To say it has changed my life is not an understatement. My husband and I have finally found a system that works for both of us to organize our schedules, and now the tension over missed plans and expectations has nearly vanished. Plus, we all love the routines and chores feature. My kids feel empowered to take ownership of their day because they know the routines and enjoy seeing the progress they make towards their goals. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would because it had seriously been such a game-changer for my family. And its design is very unobtrusive, so it doesn't feel like a clunky eyesore. I can do all the things I want without the subscription, so I can't speak on that aspect. My only regret is that I waited so long to invest in a Skylight. Totally worth the money!

I manage three different calendars, and the Skylight Calendar has honestly been a game changer for keeping everything organized. Instead of constantly checking different places to figure out what I have coming up, I can see everything together in one place. The large touchscreen makes it easy to glance at my schedule, and having everything displayed clearly helps me stay on top of appointments, meetings, and other commitments. If you’re trying to manage multiple schedules and feel like you’re always checking one calendar or another, this makes life so much easier. I use it all the time and am very happy I bought it.

I love my new calendar! It was easy to set up and connecting to my calendar on my phone. For this 70 year old NON-TECHNICAL, that's saying alot! I bought it mostly for that purpose, but I have found that the to do list and grocery list are very helpful too. And once you get the app downloaded, my life is much more organized . I'm all color coordinated now!

My wife pushed me to purchase this Skylight Calendar as we head into the new school year. Our kids are finally at an age that they want to know all the things. What do we have going on during the day, what are we eating, and what chores should they be doing. Well a few weeks in, I can say this is a game changer with a few caveats. Integrating calendars could not be easier. We are an Apple household and it was very easy to make our calendars public to get a shareable link and add those into the Skylight companion app. Within minutes we had the calendar reflecting all our shared, personal, and sports calendars. I think we may have 5 - 6 syncing without issue. Skylight also offers a holiday calendar that we enabled. Profiles allow you to easily create task lists for your kids. Both of our kids have repeating daily tasks, think empty the dishwasher or shower, that were easy to create. They also have weekly chores, like pulling weeds, that we setup. While viewing the calendar, you can enable a view to show how many tasks they have for the day and how many they have completed. As they complete these, they can easily mark them off. As they complete tasks, if you pay for the subscription, you can assign star values so they can claim rewards. We have setup a few rewards for them, but still playing with the value of rewards to number of tasks they are doing. We are also using this as a digital picture frame, which you must also pay for through the subscription. They say the photo storage is unlimited. I think your cloud storage is unlimited, but the device has to have a cap. Currently have maybe 300 photos synced to. After 5 minutes of no one using it, it begins to go through them. One complaint I have, is even though I’ve synced 300 photos, I tend to see the same ones a lot. I don’t have any proof, but think the device may refresh the photos it has in its storage, but not hold them all which is why. From a form factor standpoint, this is a well built device. It feels very solid and has a pretty crisp screen. It includes a stand or wall mounting parts. I have no fear of my kids damaging this device, hopefully. Overall I think this is a great device for keeping a family who has kids without their own phones/devices on track with what’s going on, on task with chores, and display family photos. However, a few complaints: 1. A subscription to unlock rewards, meal planning, using it as a digital picture frame is kinda crazy for the cost of the device. 2. While there is a sleep mode to turn the display off at night. It’s on all the time. Feel like they should have included a sensor to detect motion to save energy. 3. While ours has been on and connected for a few weeks, I know there is an update out there that includes weather that we have not gotten yet and there is no way to force a software update. So kind of at the mercy of when updates come out. Overall a great little device, with some quirks.

The Skylight Calendar has completely changed the way our household stays organized, and honestly, I wish we had bought it sooner. From the moment we set it up, it felt less like a gadget and more like a true family command center. The 15-inch display is bright, clean, and easy to read from across the room, and the touchscreen is very responsive and simple enough for everyone in the family to use — even people who aren’t tech-savvy. One of the biggest things I love is how seamlessly it syncs with multiple calendars. We connected Google Calendar within minutes, and now everyone’s schedules automatically appear in one place. No more constantly asking, “What time is your appointment?” or “Who’s picking up the kids?” Everything is visible at a glance, color-coded, and incredibly easy to manage. It has seriously reduced stress and confusion in our house. The layout is extremely well designed. It looks modern and sleek on the wall, almost like a digital picture frame, so it blends nicely into the home instead of looking bulky or cluttered. The screen quality is excellent, and the interface is smooth and intuitive. Adding events, chores, meal plans, and reminders is quick and straightforward. What surprised me most was how much more consistent our routines became after using this calendar. The chore chart and meal planning features are genuinely useful and not just “extra” features thrown in for marketing. It helps keep everyone accountable and involved, especially in busy households. The reminders and notifications are also incredibly helpful for keeping track of appointments, school events, birthdays, practices, and work schedules. I’ve had zero issues with lag, freezing, or connectivity problems. This product feels premium in every way — from the hardware quality to the software experience.
