I used this for my gamekeeper's thumb instead of the wrist spica splint from the clinic, and wow—what a difference. The construction feels high-quality with lightweight, breathable material that keeps my hand cool. This thumb splint was needed to keep my arthritic thumb from being pushed into an uncomfortable spot. It fits perfectly and serves my purpose well. I would have given it 5 stars if it were washable. But I’ll try to keep it clean per instructions and probably buy a couple more to have a change.

I guess I have carpal tunnel or some wrist issue that acts up every now and then. If I wear this wrap for support for a day or so, it doesn't hurt anymore. It fits well, easy to put on and take off. I have had it for several months and it's held up -- so good quality material.

I waffled between three and four stars. It does what it's supposed to do in terms of immobilizing the thumb. The two big cons: (1) It's not holding up well. It's got fuzzy bits all over the edges as they fray and (2) it started getting very uncomfortable and actually causing pain over lengthy wearing. I had to keep my thumb splinted for a few weeks, and it started rubbing my wrist raw and I had to start taking it off to get relief. At the same time, my thumb would be okay for a bit after removing the splint but would quickly flare up in pain again, demonstrating how well it was working to keep the pain at bay. Be forewarned you may need to wrap something around your wrist if wearing long term to protect against friction. Same thing with the little loop of fabric that your thumb goes in - it bunches up over time and starts cutting into the hand.

This thumb brace has worked wonders on my case of trigger finger, keeping my pain level low until I can get the surgery to correct. It is especially helpful at night while I am sleeping. I truly am impressed with the quality, ease of putting it on, and the results I receive. If you have hand pain this will be of help. Very good value, too.
