I bought this brace because I have carpal tunnel issues in both my wrists, as well as diabetes neuropathy. It is sold in 2 sets of a left hand and right hand. I chose to get it in a size smaller than I usually get because I wanted it to be very snug. I bought a size medium and I'm glad I did because it is working out great with the amount of stretch it has. I have a size 7 1/4 wrist and there is plenty of stretch, it's not too tight. I often wear a rigid brace on top of this brace on my right wrist because it is more severely effected and requires tight imobilization most of the time. These braces are made from a material called TPE, thermoplastic elastomers. I have had no itching, swelling, redness, no problems at all with the material. The material is totally waterproof and washable in mild soap and water. You can wash dishes while wearing the braces, go swimming, etc., I've had no set backs from any activities I want or need to do while wearing the braces. I have had marking pens stain the material though...but no worries, there is an extra set!! I really do like these braces so much, they are very comfortable to sleep in. The first few days I wore them on and off while I got used to them. Now I can wear them all day and night if I need to. They are super affordable $12.99 for 2pr is crazy affordable for me as I'm a senior on a fixed income!! I had Prime shipping, so it was free.

I tried out a whole bunch of different types of product similar to this, and this is the only one that actually gave me a little bit of support, the others were pretty much just pieces of fabric, this product can replace KT tape. I work in a kitchen, so I cannot use KT tape on my hands all the time, I constantly have to put my hands in water and the tape only lasts a few hours. These are definitely annoying to wear when they get wet, but they can’t get wet and they still work great.

I spend a lot of time at a computer keyboard, plus I do a lot of gardening, and it's possible to both type and do yard work wearing this brace, which I cannot say about any other splints or braces I've ever tried. First, I'm not sure if De Quervain's is my problem, but I have bad pain in the lower part of my right thumb (dominant hand), so I'm guessing that's what it is, coupled with arthritis. I tried that hand test that I found online, and my wrist did not hurt, but my thumb right above the wrist sure did. I've had some cloth-type compression gloves in the past that felt good but got downright nasty and then eaten by the dryer like socks. I got a medium size in these based on my wrist size and figured any compression would be better than nothing. When I first put one on, I thought it was too large, but after wearing it a while, it seems just right. I thought at first the compression on my thumb was going to be too wimpy, but after I washed my hands and rubbed the area with some high-quality coconut oil before putting the brace back on, I was able to tug and slide the brace around some so it is putting compression where I want it most. Because of that posting by the woman whose thumb crease got sore and broken, I pulled the end of the brace up higher on my thumb so the brace rests above the crease, and that also seemed to help apply more pressure to my thumb and pull it back a big to keep it straighter. I'm allergic to latex, and so far I have not broken out wearing this brace, so I think it's silicone, not latex. After wearing the brace for the first 15 minutes without the coconut oil on my skin, I didn't notice much change in temperature, but when I rubbed on some coconut oil, I felt the area under the brace warming up some, which feels great. It remains to be seen how my skin will respond over time. I'll wear this solidly for 24 hours and see how it feels, and if I have negative effects, I'll come back and post them. But so far, so good. UPDATE: No negative effects. It's working for me.

So.. I'm conflicted. I loved these at the start, but a few weeks in wearing them I'm finding some issues. I have DeQuervains Tendonitis in both of my hands, worst in my right hand. I'm a home health nurse who's independently, my hands take abuse from transfers etc. I bought these because a normal brace is impossible to keep under knit trial gloves for work. These braces are great because you can wear them under gloves, but the thumb part tends to roll back. Granted, that's much more minor than a giant brace under a glove. I usually have to powder hands before putting these on, or impossible ( the Package does state that) I wear these 3–4 times a week and I've noticed there are parts of the brace starting to peel/wear away. Though they are silicone, they don't seem to have very much strength for normal wear and tear. The right thumb is ripping so they're loose with no compression now. There is no thumb support with these – but I do have to say it's amazing how much it helps my tendinitis. The pressure of them and the way they sit on my hands does do wonders. So if anything they do help my pain, while providing a minimal brace so I can glove up constantly at work. The only complaint is maybe the quality, they are starting to break down in less than one month. So it's a 50/50. The first few weeks cool- but after less than a months they're ripping, no compression and essentially crap. Waste of $11 because I was so excited for these

This waterproof brace worked great in the shower for me. I have a torn ligament (TFCC injury) in my wrist and tendonitis and arthritis in my other wrist and it was very painful to shower and wash my hair. I felt that a waterproof brace would be helpful so I searched and I found this one. It worked very well for me while my wrists healed. They gave enough support to make the showering less painful. I liked that there were four braces in the pack, since I needed to use one on each wrist, and there were two backups. I had to use powder in them to get them on. They are easy to get off after the shower. I am grateful that this company thought to make waterproof braces. I highly recommend these braces.

First I would call this a "support" and NOT a "brace" or "splint" as it says in the description. I was looking for a support so this works for me, but if you are looking for something more rigid, like a brace or splint, this is not it. That said I really like the support it gives and how comfortable it is to wear. It has just the right amount of support for my situation and I almost forget that I have it on. It's very easy to rinse off if something gets on it.... BUT... I do wish it came in black or at least a darker color. I am very active in the garden, barn, and woodshed so I'm afraid that the light color is going to look dingy and gross pretty quickly. Also, it's not a breathable material so I worry about sweating under it, especially in the summer months, and if that's going to cause irritation. For those two reasons I did 4 stars instead of 5. UPDATED: I've had them less than a week and here is what I have found. While washable, they do get dingy looking pretty quickly. One has already torn at the thumb while putting it on. I've found that they get "tacky" pretty quickly. They are NOT breathable and DO cause sweating under them (and it's not even warm here yet in the north). While they themselves are waterproof (ie the TPU material), water can get under them and onto your skin. If you take them off to dry your hands, they are nearly impossible to get back on. I've reduced the stars for all of these reasons, and won't order again, but still give 2 stars for comfort and support. If you are a person who works in an office or other "clean" environment they may work for you.

I have had some wrist and thumb pain, self diagnosed de Quervain's Tenosynovitis, that I am putting off going to the doctor for until the stay at home order is lifted some! This has been a real help in supporting my thumb and wrist during everyday chores! I like that it has extra reinforcement at the wrist area, is stretchy and especially that it is waterproof (for some of those chores!). It does sometimes tend to feel a bit "clammy" beneath the band, but I find applying a little powder before putting it on helps with that. I love that you receive four in the package, a good deal in my opinion. I am so glad I found these! They may get me through until I can see a doctor, or who knows, they may help me reach the point where I won't need to see one as I've only been using them for four days now and can notice a difference!
