That was pretty disappointing but other than that I love the feel, not over bright and they usually last me about 3 months playing 5 days a week and 3 to 5 hours a day. Great look, mediocre sound. I love the stage presence but the Soul’s leaves a lot to be desired, kind of dead sounding. I put different colors of 3 of my basses but believe I will go back to regular old I coated strings for a better punchy sound.

I originally got a set for my 4string and liked them so much I bought some for my five string. They sound just as good.

    • Dead strings, sticky, and not durable..
After initial installation the strings felt rather loose and quite sticky. I cut and installed them per the inclosed instructions but the D string was still a “dead” string. I’ve now played them for a few hours and the coating is still sticky seems to be separating on the D and G string... with shipping I paid over $50 for this set of strings. Maybe I received a defective set??? I’ll stay with my Ernie balls. ... show more

    • I really like the feel of the DR strings
I have some green neon strings on one of my basses, and now I have these on my second bass. I really like the feel of the coated strings - I find them to be easier on my fingers than non-coated strings. I think the strings sound great. I was expecting them to look really cool, but I don't think many people would notice the strings are not the usual colour. That's ok though. I haven't tried a lot of different strings, so I don't have a lot to compare to, but I like these much more than the strings that were on my bass when I bought it! ... show more
