We carry a selection of 65,000 BTU (model DR-650HP), 90,000 BTU (model DR-900HP), 110,000 BTU (model DR-1100HP), and 140,000 BTU (model DR-1400HP). The power-efficient heat pump pool heater is electric powered with an input requirement of 208 - 230 Vac. The non-corrosive design makes this unit ideal for all environments including coastal climate, maintaining the swimming pool at an ideal consistent temperature. Extending the swimming to all year long. The Dr. Heater heat pump is designed with industry-leading technology for top performance and stability. Our Full DC Inverter fan motor and compressor can adjust heating capacity between 20% - 100% for the most efficient operation. The compressor is designed with a twin rotary that operates together to balance the movement of each other for anti-shaking, which is higher efficiency, lower vibration & quieter operation. To reduce the compressor noise even further, the compressor is encapsulated by an acoustic-suppressing cover. The Spiral Titanium Heat Exchanger uses our patented pattern which enlarges the heat-exchanging surface by 30%. Extremely pleased with the DR-1400HP's capacity to heat my enormous pool. But please be aware this heater has two settings energy efficient and regular. Energy efficient ( two bars) is super quiet and efficient (80% reading) but this setting is not what you want to heat up your pool. You want regular setting ( three bars) quiet and efficient (100% reading). See online instruction manual for how to switch between the two. My unit also came in energy efficient mode and would not heat up sufficiently until I switched to regular setting. Perhaps the company just wants to demonstrate just how unbelievable quiet energy efficient mode is. But I find regular mode is still quieter than my pentair quietest pool pump. In any event the heater adjusts its run speed and energy output to your desired pool temp so it adjusts automatically anyways. The a/c installer I hired to install the product thought the product was extremely well built. It looks great. Super quiet. Heats huge pool to a cozy even temperature. Amazon delivered to my house. Electric bill seems reasonable for how I run it/size of my pool. I would definitely recommend. ... show more

I did extensive research in preparation for heating my in-ground pool. Once I determined that I wanted to install a heat pump, I looked at several different manufactures. Based on my research I decided I wanted to purchase my heat pump from "DR. INFRARED". So, I reached out to their customer service department (They were fantastic). We had several discussions, and I provided them with all the information they needed to determine the correct size heat pump so that I would be able to maintain my pools water temperature. Based on the information I provided them, they recommended I purchase their **DR. INFRARED HEATER DR-1400HP Full DC Inverter 140,000 BTU Heat Pump Ground Swimming Pools** It was delivered ON TIIME!!!!! When it was being installed by a licensed electrician, we reached out to their customer service department. They provided EXCELLENT Support; the Heat pump was installed and is functioning perfectly. The temperature of my water rose about 1 degree per hour till it got to 85 degrees. My family and I can now swim in the pool and enjoy it because of this heat pump!!     • DR infrared heater so quiet the installer thought it was not working!

Our current heat pump pool heater needed replacing after 10 years of use. We were disappointed to find that the technology of our old heater had not improved in the 10 years since we first purchased it. We wanted an energy efficient heater. After researching other pool heaters, we decided on DR. INFRARED HEATER DR-1400HP Full DC Inverter 140,000 BTU Heat Pump. We ordered it from Amazon and it arrived within a week in perfect condition. A local pool supplier installed it. It works perfectly. The installer had never seen a DR infrared heater before. In fact, when the installer turned on the heater, it was so quiet that they looked at each other and said “It’s not working”. Finally one of them held their hand over the top of the heater and exclaimed “It’s cold!” They were shocked to find that it was working so efficiently and quiet. This is a BIG unit. It arrived on time and was well packaged. It was simple to hook up if you don’t mind wiring 240v. It is very quiet and seems to be efficient. (My electric bill did not skyrocket). Plumbing it into the system was simple as well. The app works well also. The instructions could have been better as far as how to operate the heat pump but the whole thing was pretty intuitive. The device works as advertised. I have an ~8000 gal pool and ~500 gal hot tub so this unit is oversized, but it gets the hot tub up to 100 without breaking a sweat. I initially miswired the pump relay and damaged it. The US distributor immediately sent me a replacement board at no cost, which is better customer service than I’ve had anywhere in a long time. ... show more
