this is an automatic 5 star the only way it would get a 1 star is if it had some kind of catastrophic failure. this is a great slip lead for getting dogs quickly in and out of vet offices and for short, controlled walks in non busy areas which i do use this for. this is a slip lead and doesn't have a size adjuster for the loop. i also wouldn't walk more than 1 dog using multiple slip leads b/c all it takes is a quick head shake and the lead will come off, hence you have to really pay attention when walking your dog to keep the right tension on the leash to keep the loop secured enough around the neck. the quality of the nylon and weave is excellent although it does fray easily the strength of the leash isn't compromised. ... show more

I've been in pet care for over 50 years and these slip leashes are by far the best braided nylon leashes I have ever used. The thicker braid is much easier on the hand when handling the much unwell behaved dogs that is the new norm in todays pet world.

    • Excellent training leads
We'd been looking for these leads for a long time. The dog trainer we work with uses them exclusively. They're excellent for training dogs to heel. They don't hear the correction coming and don't associate it with you. Overall, we've found that they are a gentle way to train compared to many other methods and leads. The leads aren't bulky, so they're easy to stuff in a pocket when your dog is off leash. It is also easy to quickly lasso your dog if you need to get them quickly on leash. The downside (costing one star in review) is that they are poly and bite into your hand during training. If you're trying to correct a dog that pulls, you might want to wear gloves. We have medium sized dogs (30-50lbs), so I'm not sure if they would be as effective with large breeds. Also, you wouldn't want to leave a dog tied up and unattended as they could slip out or choke. These are the only dog leads we use any more for both walks and training. They're great. ... show more

Wow! I've been using an old "clinic" lead for quite some time and always looking for these leads, but unless you want to buy a "100 pack"...So when I saw these offered in a 6 pk decided to get them. These are WAY sturdier than the clinic leashes we used...these are about double the thickness at least, maybe even MORE! These are heavy duty for bathing, grooming, at the Vets or Boarding kennel... I keep one in a "bug out bag" my backpack & by the "doggy bath supplies" b/c these are what the groomers/Vets use. Very happy to see these... ... show more
