I just got this chair and I must say that I was impressed with it as I was putting it together. It appears to be very well made and designed. Assembly was easy (not my first rodeo) and I was impressed with how the legs locked into the base. I've put a few of these chairs together and it seems like everyone cuts corners there but not this chair. I had some concerns about the arm rest as there's no cushioning there but the armrests are very smooth and I think they will be fine. The lumbar support is better than I thought but the head cushion is mostly useless. It hangs too low on the chair. The biggest issue I have with this chair is where the sides of the seat are turned up. It is not comfortable because the seat is not wide enough to begin with. Overall the quality is good and I would buy this brand again but if you are a big guy you might want to consider the width of the seat because it is clearly not made for a big guy. ... show more

    • Improving Comfort with Excellent Customer Service

I initially gave this chair a one-star rating based on some comfort issues I experienced. I spent considerable time choosing this model, mostly because of the “extra thick, dense foam” seat cushion. Initially, it felt okay, but discomfort became evident after a full work day spent sitting on it. I noticed the lack of support under the seat cushion, which seemed to only have the hard frame of the chair. This caused a painful experience for my tailbone that persisted even after standing up. The chair had its upsides; it was slim and had an appealing aesthetic. However, the narrowness of the frame could be a problem for some, as it did for me. I also had concerns about the armrests and the head pillow cushion. The chair's assembly instructions could be improved too, especially regarding the screws' size. Despite these drawbacks, I want to commend the exceptional customer service I received from Dowinx after writing my initial review. Arina from Dowinx customer service department reached out, taking my concerns seriously. They didn't only listen but also acted promptly by providing a refund without the need for a return. This outstanding commitment to customer satisfaction and their readiness to learn and improve their product is truly commendable. Therefore, I've upgraded my initial one-star review to a four-star one. While the chair had its problems, the Dowinx team's response to my feedback demonstrated their dedication to customer satisfaction and product improvement, which makes me believe in their future offerings. ... show more

I have had a few Dowinx gaming chair models over the years. With each new iteration of their chair, they continue to make more and more improvements. This chair doesnt just look impressive. The build and materials on it are as quality as they appear to be. Once assembled this is one solid, comfortable chair. The seat cushion is very spacious, you dont feel constricted by the width of the chair which tends to be an issue with some racing back chairs on the market. The fold out leg rest from underneath is also a very solid component. It doesnt feel shaky or flexible, the feel assures me it will support my feet while its extended, even with the back fully reclined as well. Which leads to the reclining mechanism. You can really recline this chair to just about any degree including almost entirely flat backwards nearly 180 degrees. With such wide range available, you can be certain to find the optimal recline for your personal comfort levels. Improvements have also been made to the lumbar support pillow and head/neck pillow. There is so much cushion in the neck pillow, and the revised shape of the lumbar support pillow actually makes it fit between the angles of the racing back on the chair. It actually feels as though it belongs there. It does include a vibration feature in the lumbar support pillow powered by USB, but I typically dont make use of that feature. I will say the one thing I was concerned about was the lack of typical padding on the arm rests. These arm rests are a completely different style than the ones on previous Dowinx models Ive owned. There is no padding, but they are made of a different material that has some squish to it so it makes padding not really necessary. The thing I love about the arm rests is that they can be rotated inward, outward, or directly straight, and they also have arm rest extenders that allow the arm rests to slide forward 2 levels. It really allows you to dial in the perfect position for your arm rests for whatever your needs may be at any given time. I will conclude by saying this is hands down the best pc gaming chair Ive owned personally. It checks all the boxes that previous models have hit, and adds a few new check boxes to the list with the improvements made this time around. I love how solid the chair feels, while remaining incredibly comfortable. Not to mention at a very competitive price point. Other chairs in this price range and even beyond wont deliver in all the ways this chair does. If you are in need of a pc gaming chair, or looking to upgrade your current one, look no further.
