It's a good-sized tool for pieces that will typically be large enough to hold with 2 hands, but I read some people buying these for swollen doors and such which it's capable of, but would not be my first choice. What it's not capable of is metal! I found quite a few reviews from people griping about that and clearly do not know what they are buying. I bought this for a guitar project ATM, so I wish the fine was just slightly finer, but it did a great job right out of the box. Not much to say about this, it’s a basic heavy rasp/file for quick stock removal or smoothing a rough edge. I have it in my van life tool kit, handy for lots of uses. The imprinted pattern for the rasp on one side is crooked, not a big deal, but knocked one star off for that.

I always try to take into consideration the cost of an item when reviewing. This file did not cost much and still seems to meet average quality. It does what it's supposed to. It won't have the longevity even more expensive file. For my occasional use it will be just fine.

this is more for manual spot treating jobs. I had to shave down the edges of a door that had swelled and was getting stuck in the frame. this was too cumbersome to use for that job. but for other one off/spot treat jobs this will be fine.

I have an old bathroom door and it was catching on the wood floor. It seemed to have a protrusion so I tried this wood rasp, using my foot to hold the rasp in place and moving the door back and forth over it. Did the trick. Now the door closes properly.
