I was looking to add a set of files to my tools and came across this set and decided to try it. I was impressed with the variety of sizes and shapes, the convenience of the case and that a wire cleaning brush was included with the set. The rubber handles are comfortable as well. There was an enclosed card to join the company on facebook, or contact them and you would be given an extended warranty as well. There was also a brief instruction sheet with decent general information if you weren't familiar with using files. So far I've only lightly used these on aluminum and brass and they've done fine. My only concern is how they will hold up over time and when used on harder metals. Up until now, my experience with files has been with the large ones that have been kicking around in the family garage for 40 plus years of abuse and still work. I would expect that these will be fine for light mechanical work and hobbies. For the price, variety of files and how they have performed so far; I have no regrets about purchasing this set. ... show more

I really like the organization folder you get with the files it will be a big help at my job. Only thing i would change is length of handles but i have big hands so thats a personal preference. Maybe introduce a locking mechanism on handle aswell so you can take file off handle and then put back on and lock back in place but so far so good great product guys highly recommend ... show more

This is a well done file set that does give you pretty much any file size and profile that you might need a file for. The case is nicely set up, with a big hang-loop to let you put it on a tool board or the like. I wouldn't expect it to hold up for a lot of use, but it's nice to have if you need to go mobile. I have only had need of the big flat bastard file so far. It did great and seemed to have nice bite with good control. How these files hold up under use is not clear, but for casual use I think they seem quite good! They were reasonable, on Prime, came on time, and were as described. I'm happy. :) ... show more

I got these to clean up my 3D printed parts, but then I used them on my other projects. I used them to fix the knurling on my steering shaft and some bolt threads. They worked great and didn't wear down on the steel parts. They feel pretty nice and are at a good price too. I dont have anything bad to say about them. **Update** I have been using these for over a year on a weekly basis for deburring parts I have been making and they still are as good as new. I mostly use mild steel and DOM tubing and these have work without fail and better than I thought they would. I originally got them to use for plastic but now I just used them for metal. They haven't seemed to dull at all, which is amazing giving the price they are better quality than I would have thought. ... show more

For the money, these are decent files. The case they come in is fairly large, but well made and handy if you just want to toss it in your tool box. I've taken to putting my other files and file sets in the large pouch. There's room enough to fit. The steel holds up pretty well. These files work well on wood, Aluminum, steel, and rubber; these are the materials I have tested. They are a little coarser than I prefer for metal and a little too fine for wood, but as a compromise they are great. The included file card (metal wire brushy thing) does a great job of cleaning the file after use and if it gets gummed up. This is particularly important to do while you are using them.
