Admittedly, I got this squat rack and weight bench mainly for the pull-up bar. I needed a pull-up bar that I didn't have to attach to the wall or to a door frame and cause damage. So as a pull-up bar, I really like this, especially the shape of the bar - it's great for wider grip pull-ups, traditional pull-ups and V-grip pull-ups. The two complaints though that I have is that (1) the V-bend in the middle makes it difficult to perform pull-ups facing the opposite direction, and (2) the bar is a little too smooth, which can make my sweaty hands slip. But, a pair of gloves will solve that problem. As a squat rack, I have full confidence that it would get the job done. Unfortunately, I do not use it for that purpose, so I have not tested that out. The weight bench is pretty standard. I like the all-black look...definitely a man's kind of weight bench. You can quickly and easily prop up the back, lay it flat, or even lay it at a negative angle. It is very helpful for using free weights, performing sit-ups , etc. It's good, solid metal quality! I definitely recommend adding this to your home gym! ... show more

Very Sturdy, will not tip over and doesn’t wobble, great design. You do have to assemble the weight bench, but comes with all the hardware and they go in the pre-drilled holes perfect and you tighten the bolts and nuts together. Has small feet on the bottom to keep it protected from tipping over. The bench is soft and padded well where your back doesn’t hurt from laying on it. Also the bench can be used for legs and it is adjustable to the workout you want to do, just clicks up and stays or you can lay it flat. When assembled the unit isn’t too heavy and you can move it around. Works as it should and the quality is great. Durable metal, and you can’t beat the price. 5 Stars. ... show more

This big boy holds a lot of weight. It is good quality and durable. It did take a bit to get set up but once that was done, it held all of the weight I put on it nicely. Make sure you tighten everything really well so nothing comes loose and injures somebody. With that said, once tightened, I was very confident in the strength of the bench and squat rack. I was most afraid about assembling this, because I did not want a Final Destination moment to occur as a result of my assembly. The setup was not complicated at all and every piece of it feels pretty sturdy. These j-hooks are adjustable and the dumbbell holder can act as mini spotter arms for squats if you take a step back. It kind of pulls together the entire home gym situation. This is a sturdy machine which is essential when safety is involved. Bench pressing felt good and I felt firmly supported in every position. I bought a pullup bar / rack a while ago from Walmart for about half the price and it was larger, heavier, and still somehow less sturdy than this. You'll want to tighten everything down with something better than just the included alan key, but it isn't difficult to put together. I'm about 190lbs and it's got no wobble when I (attempt) pullups and hang. The optional bench is pretty basic, but appreciated. ... show more

The DONOW Olympic Weight Bench is a nice, versatile weight bench. It went together in about two hours single handily. It is rated at 450 pounds but that is fine for me in my garage gym. It comes with all the hardware and tools needed to assemble the weight bench clearly labeled on two cardboard sheets. The instructions are clear. This is the last piece for my gym. You can bench press, pull up, squat and push up with this weight bench. It comes with a bench that adjusts both seat and back. It has two hangers at the top for 7 foot bars and there are two posts on the sides to store 1 inch or 2 inch Olympic style weights with the included adapters. It seems stable when fully assembled. I was able to hang the bench from the pull up bar so my car still fits in the garage. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
