This comes coated in a layer of something...but I live in the south and wanted to protect my investment, so I coated each board in Thompsons Water Seal before building this. Not a task I would wish on my worst enemy BTW that took forever. But I hope it will extend the life of the playset, and feel it was worth the effort. It's HOT here, so we could really only work in the morning and evening. Took us 3 or 4 days doing that. You could probably have it together in 2 days if you could work through the day. Some steps I did alone, but there are steps that you MUST have 2 people for. Comes together easily. Each bag of bolts is labeled with the assembly step in the book, and it comes with a ton of spare bits in case you lose anything. The slides aren't really wide enough for a grown up booty, but if I go down a little sideways I can slide with my kids. Only thing I would change is adding a ladder where the monkey bars meet the slide platform. That way younger kids have an easy access point to the slide. Solid & sturdy! This is a huge Play set. My son put it together & said it is super sturdy & well made. He suggested organizing the wood pieces before assembly cuz they are mixed in the 6 different boxes they arrive in. It was worth the money & my grandbabies will have years of fun on this play set. So many different sections (swings, monkey bars, rock climbing, bridge, 2 slides, clubhouse) they won't get bored for outside play now! ... show more

Manual was missing about 4 pages. So that was 8 steps that was missed. But my husband is smart and he figured it out. Take the tape measure out when you’re measuring for the yard. It’s really not as big as it looks in the pictures. And the blue swing was in those instructions. We haven’t figured that one out yet so we just bought another swing. Hasn’t been a year yet actually only 4 months. Don’t have the highest hopes. ... show more

What an AMAZING playground. I’m 5’4 178lbs and placed the whole thing together on my own. It’s very time consuming, took me two weeks to build it. One of the slides 🛝 arrived cracked and customer service was FANTASTIC at responding and sending me replacement piece. All the pieces are accounted for and came with extra just incase. I did test the playground on my self and it didn’t break so I know my kids will not break it. Playground is huge. We added extra toys and baby swing. Overall I highly recommend this playground. This is the cheapest one we found and it’s worth every penny. Very sturdy. Can’t wait to see my kids faces playing on it. ... show more

This playset is huge and easy to put together (with two people). I recommend taking some time to locate which part is in what box for each step of assembly (the boxes come with parts lists so that made it easier)! And yes - the slide is in the boxes (I had my doubts until we opened it all for assembly). I had to knock off several stars for customer service. In the manual they leave a note to reach out to them for help instead of Amazon, but they leave no way to contact them except through Amazon. It has taken me several days to reach out about the rope swing that they didn’t send with proper hand ware or an second rope (honest mistake - it came in 6 big, heavy boxes with lots of parts and hardware). But they tried to send me an additional instruction manual instead of addressing the issue. My child loves this playground but my husband and I are frustrated that we spent so much on it just to be short one swing and have to spend several days trying to get customer service to be appropriately responsive. Update: The company sent me a replacement swing that was still missing the hardware pictured. They refused to take responsibility for the fact that their assembly instructions and what they sent me doesn’t match up. I have given up on them and had to get a replacement swing from Lowe’s but the company will not issue a partial refund to cover that cost even though we spent a pretty penny on this playset and I expected it to work. The customer service rep that messaged with me was quite rude in their last message, starting it off with “Dear, the swing is fine.” 🙄 Considering that the wood is not pretreated and several aspects of the playset had to be improvised during assembly, I think we would have been better off purchasing from a different company. Instead, small issues for which I have requested help have never been addressed and I am still waiting. ... show more

    • Even the bolts come pre-labeled
It's really close to 5 stars. The whole thing comes in 6 big boxes. Every board is labeled and pre-drilled, everything was correct for me. The instructions were fine. But what really got me was that each step in the directions had a corresponding bag of hardware that was labeled. On step 35? Grab bag 35. It was the most convenient thing I have ever put together. It took me and a friend almost 10 hours to put together. The only negatives were that the bolts where the swing arm attaches to the main structure... I just could not get to go through. They were SO close, but I couldn't get them. Had to go buy some longer bolts from the hardware store, not a huge deal. And the "ground anchors" are just flat strips of metal. Even with them in the feet for the swing support rock a little. So I'm getting some sturdier anchors for sure. And the instructions for the flat cloth swing weren't very helpful, it looks like they were for a different model, and didn't show how to attach that swing to the support. The boards are wayyyy lighter than I expected them to be. Which is good for assembly but we will see about longevity. They are all coated in a waterproofing product it looks like. Kids like it, it was a lot of work, but the way they labeled everything easily took hours off the assembly time. ... show more
