My dogs (male and female) both have some surgery scheduled, and in an abundance of caution I asked the vet if they might need a "cone." She suggested a recovery suit instead. I researched it a bit and ordered this because it seemed like it would be soft, comfortable and suitable for either dog, should they need it. It was also reasonably priced. I ordered a medium according to the size chart and it fit my miniature pinscher perfectly. At about 13 pounds he is at the higher end of the 7-15 pound weight recommendation for this size. I was able to fit this on him while he was wearing a thick diaper with no problem. The suit is a cute print in a soft fabric, with smooth, stretchy cuffs at the collar and cuffs. There are several snaps, as well as a soft, vinyl zipper that runs the full length of the suit to make dressing and undressing quick and easy. This is also helpful to allow for elimination without requiring complete undressing, but there are also two reusable diaper pads in the set. With this suit, I feel well prepared if either of my dogs needs to be restrained from licking or scratching at wounds or stitches, either on themselves or on their "sibling." My dog tends to suffer from some anxiety issues and he loves to bury himself under blankets. As it turned out, he loved wearing this suit. He immediately appeared calm and relaxed enough to fall asleep in his bed, so his new "jammies" serve a dual purpose. Extra points for this dog surgery recovery suit!

This is an excellent recovery suit because velcro is in the inner portion. You attach a small cloth to the area for additional padding, plus it catches any seepage. This fit my Havanese nicely - not too tight or loose either.

I ordered this product in the size suggested for my dogs measurements. I think that ended up being a small, but I'm not 100%. The outfit fit my dog for the most part, and looked adorable. It was just a little bit snug in the bottom area. So, I wish I had ordered a size up to give him more room, but he is still able to wear it as is. Most of all though, it keeps him from biting at himself, so that's a definite win.

The design of this recovery suit is well-conceived for post-surgery care. I've tried the rigid collars and the inflatable ones that encircle the neck to shield an incision, but they are difficult to use and very uncomfortable for the dog. When I saw this suit, I decided to give it a try. It's much nicer and more comfortable for the dog. They can eat, drink, lie down, and relieve themselves with ease. The suit includes two detachable pads that can be washed and reinserted to absorb any leakage.

The Medium is a perfect fit for our 7 1/2 pound mini dachshund. Came with two heavy diapers that fasten with velcro. Will be so much easier on everyone when she has surgery next week!

My dog was recently spayed. We had her wear this shirt to keep her from licking her wound. I like that this comes with two diapers to help with incontinence. She seems to like to shirt and we will continue to let her wear this, as she likes to lick herself in general. A well made dog recovery suit.
