I could seriously cry tears of joy! My dog has a mast cell tumor on the back of his right hind leg that cannot be removed and has recently ruptured. I have been at my wits end trying to come up with ways to cover it to prevent it from weeping all over my house--Diapers, children's shorts, other surgery suits on Amazon, nothing was working!! Then I found these and I have hope that my couch and rug may survive while the antibiotics heal the rupture on my dog. It's only been a couple of hours so I may come back to update this after a couple of days if something goes wrong but for now I am SO happy. The velcro is VERY strong, I almost thought I was ripping it from the fabric when pulling it apart but it is just tremendously sturdy. For reference, my dog is 85lbs and I bought a size 2xl. The neck area is a little tight so I may need to take a seam ripper to a few threads there but it doesn't seem to be bothering my dog for the time being.

This suit was perfect for after my dogs neuter surgery. It was so much easier than using the cone. It was easy to get on and off for potty breaks and he slept well in it. It protected his incisions and was also functional for taking him out to potty.

Definitely does what it’s supposed to. The the collar of it is a little too small where the length is a little long but it’s works. It stretches a little bit to get it to fit right.

It's for a female spay: As one reviewer video-noted, that "cut here for boy dogs" patch is very rough, almost like it's a 30year old seam tape, and it is right where the incision is expected to be. Instead of trying to remove it, I'll be ironing something softer over it. Add that to the cost. The 2xl fits my super-broad-chested 11year old 55lb pit lab boxer mix on her upper body. I might cut the neck a little to give her some relief if it starts "strangling" like most clothes do on her big neck. However, the 2xl, even though I measured twice and I followed the guidelines, is like 4-8inches too long, so long that the Velcro needs to attach up by her mid-back. I will have to add a button or snap or more Velcro to this item and sew it in place so the little wraparound pieces have something higher up her back to connect to. Add that to the cost. Tshirt material is soft and thin, seems like a hospital gown material that I'd be glad to have if it were me, not that rough starchy cotton. Overall, good price, especially if you already have Velcro and iron-on patches and extra time on your hands. This one is less difficult to get on her than the snap up the back kind, coverage of her abdomen and caboose is better in this model than the 4 leg-holed ones with the snaps or zipper up the back - can't really make any adjustments to have better coverage on that kind.

I bought this for my 65lb female golden retriever post spay surgery. Easy to use, fit great, perfect for supervised break from the cone. Would recommend. Machine wash and dry and velcro still good as new.

I ordered so many things in preparation to my dogs neuter surgery and this suit is the only one that did it’s purpose. The standard cone they give you at the vet, was not ideal since he can shake his head and it falls right off. The donut was a fail, he was still able to reach his incision. I purchased a different recovery suit, same size Large and immediately knew it wasn’t going to fit him, too small, before even putting it on. But this suit was a winner, even with the donut on, my dog could still reach the area but the suit is was kept him from being able to lick it. And the Velcro is so secure, I really loved that! I could also fold up the suit to his neck without taking it fully off so he can do his business outside because the spot where you can cut a hole so they can pee and hole it makes in the rear so they can poop doesn’t line up perfectly for him. I honestly don’t even mind having to fold up the suit tho as long as he isn’t able to lick the incision it’s a winner in my book.
