Very impressed with the quality. Setup was pretty good out of the box, but you will have to tweak the shifting and the brakes. These brakes are really easy to adjust with barrel adjusters at both ends of the cable. I was especially glad to see a real handlebar stem that is a standard size (rather than the type that is integrated into the steering tube). I ended up swapping it out for a shorter one to make it a little more comfortable for her. The configuration allows for a pretty wide range. 24" would probably be pretty big for my daughter on other bikes. But she fits this one great with lots of room to grow! ... show more

    • Par for the price, Adjustment may be difficult if you're not experienced
This bike is on par with others of similar cost. It could be better, but it isn't bad, and will be fun for whoever receives it. Despite the listing title, the bike I received was an 8 speed. I'm not complaining, that's an improvement over the advertised 7 speed. I'm an avid mountain biker and very experienced with bike assembly and maintenance. If you aren't familiar with adjusting mountain bikes, you will still be able to assemble this, but there might be some issues that the sparse directions don't cover. Some quick searches should find what you need. Setting the stem preload, adjusting the brakes, tuning the shifting, and other tweaks will make a noticeable difference. It's fairly heavy - mine weighed in at 29.3 lbs fully assembled. That seems to be true of most bikes at this price point. It has better types of components - mechanical disc brakes, a standard handlebar/stem (not a quill mount), suspension fork, but for the most part, they are not high quality or name brand. The tires are pretty bad - mine had a lot of wobble in them, and the fork is a basic coil with only a preload setting and lockout. The frame seems decent and looks good, as do the handlebars, pedals, and drivetrain. As a little added bonus, it comes with a bell! I got this bike for my 7 year old daughter and she loves it. Bike is really well built with matte finish pink paint. Comparable bikes from Trek or others would be $400+. One thing to notice is that 20” version of the bike came with front wheel detached which normally isn’t an issue but the front caliper had to be adjusted because the disk was rubbing and tire wasn’t rolling freely. Had to take it to a local bike shop and 10 minutes and $15 later is was all adjusted and running smoothly. Great little bike that’s light enough for my daughter to pick up, brakes work super good and stop on a dime. Great value ... show more

I chose this bike because was lightweight and in my price range. Plus, it said it was "easy" to assemble. Much to my surprise and pleasure, it lived up to its description. Its a beautiful bike, sturdy and was very easy to assemble. Remember to pump up the tires to correct psi before turning it over for the first ride. Great starter mountain bike! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. An awesome bike for the price. Bought this for my eight y/o on her birthday and she is extremely happy with it. The disc brakes are awesome, looked couple of bikes at Walmart but this beats all of them. The video is my daughter riding it in my basement since it is winter now. She is excited to ride it outside once the spring/summer arrives. ... show more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this bike. I've always purchased my bikes in-store, so this was a first. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. It was as described, and even though it was easy to assemble, I took it to my local shop to get it fine-tuned first. Unless you know what you're doing, I'd advise you to do the same. It's sturdy, handles well, and the brakes work great. My nephew rides this thing all over the place and has a blast on it. Kind of pricey at around $400 for this brand I've never heard of before, so giving it four stars for that. A more reasonable price would be around $250, imo. ... show more
