Although this playpen isn't super fast to assemble I think it's a decent value. I got the medium size for my two cats, but at the moment it's being used by my 14 year old kitty who just had a mastectomy for a mammary cancer. The mesh is fantastic because I can have a heater running but keep her at a safe distance from it and there's room for a litterbox, her food, water, and her bed so she doesn't have to move far and can get some good recovery time in. The only downside is it can't really be stored simply and it takes a bit of time to put together. I wouldn't want to take it apart multiple times since as I was building it one of the T connectors cracked a little on the end from the initial assembly. This could be a great kennel for a smaller dog as well if you don't have a destructive puppers.

The thick plastic pipes and corner sections are pretty easy to put together, it just takes a bit of maneuvering and elbow grease. Maneuvering not only as you piece the frame together,also as you put each piece through the slots, to hold up the body of the playpen.Romantic Bear Sturdy Puppy Playpen is made of thick plastic tubes and corner sections. The body of the playpen is made of a very similar fabric to thick and durable hiking backpacks. The mesh windows and top section are made of sturdy netting, much like a basketball jersey just thicker. The size is adequate and would be the equivalent of a small studio apartment but for a pet. There's enough space for a medium size litter box, food and water dish, as well as a large enough section for a big cat to lay down. I have a grand kitten that is at 11 months old ,14 lb and the size of a 2-year-old cat. He's a big boy and he fits in there with enough room to stretch out,move around. Romantic Bear Sturdy Puppy Playpen frame and body are of superb quality for a pet kennel,made of mixed materials. I've had multiple grand kittens in there and they are terrors when it comes to ripping up kennels. The playpen material is so sturdy, that even my most wild fur child has not been able to get out. Cleaning has been pretty easy, the bottom part of the playpen can be cleaned with just a rag and cleaning products. Washing the entire playpen is as easy as removing it from its plastic frame and throwing it in the washing machine. The hardest part would be removing it from its frame, and it just as simple as a little elbow grease and removing the corner pieces. Still an easy task,just a bit of work to accomplish. This playpen is very much worth the price and was made to last. When it's break time after a vet appointment, all I do is put on a tablet cat tv and set it next to one of the large windows. My cats are just fine being in the Romantic Puppy Sturdy Playpen.

I got the Medium size. The images on the product subscription don't show the animals to true scale in relation to the product. So this is a shot showing the smallest dimension of the playpen, with both a 14lb & 13lb cats on sitting on the top. The length is twice the size, that is plenty. It easily holds a small/med dog or 2 med/large cats. If you want to put a litter box in for extended times, then it might be a bit small with both cats at the same time. My favorite feature is the locking zippers!! Both my dog and cats can easily open zippers (they are WAY TOO smart for their own good!) - but this playpen foils their plans for escape! One of each pair of zipper pulls is actually a clip, so you close it and just clip it into the hole on the other zipper pull to it, and my sneaky guys can't just unzip it when they want to. Despite it's generous size, it does pack down into something small enough that it's easily stored, but doesn't come with a bag to put it in so you will have to reuse the box or if you happen to have an extra beach chair bag or something, that will work fine! The assembly wasn't horrible, but it did seem like it was a tad bit more difficult than it needed to be. Now that I have it together, as I disassemble it, I will label the different poles so they are quicker to identify. As with any of these pop-up type shelters, the last connectors are always the tightest & hardest to get into place. This is on purpose, since it creates the final stretching & tension to keep the product structurally rigid. Luckily, this playpen didn't require Herculean strength to connect the final pieces! I think the manufacturer found that perfect balance so even an elderly lady can do it without much issue, yet once completed it creates a pretty strong and secure containment system for pets.

This playpen holds up well to small animals and puppies before they start teething. After teething begins they will start to tear through the mesh if you have a breed that likes to tear through things. That’s something to keep in mind. It worked wonderfully as a welping box for my dog and her puppies. And it fit a large dog and her 6 puppies until they were weened. I like that it has different entrances. It was easy to assemble and the material is washable.
