My dogs are a mix of long-haired Asian breeds. Their coats develop thick matting; in the past I've had to cut out all but the most thinly matted spots and tangles. But this product makes it possible comb or brush out every tangle and all but the thickest matting. The fragrance is pleasant, but contrary to other reviewers, I think it's quite noticeable, and it remains evident for 4 days. The "sprayer" doesn't actually *spray*; it's more of a spurt. The scent is really the winning quality here. It does make brushing my Golden Doodle easier, and so far it isn't causing any irritation.

I’m rating this product a 1 star because my cat vomited a couple hours later, after using the detangling spray on him. My cat rarely throws up and only does so with an upset stomach. No change in diet or routine; we suspected he licked the product off the area we sprayed on top of, which caused him to be lethargic throughout the day, until after he vomited (he’s doing fine now). As far as detangling goes, we saw no difference in the amount of hair pulled out on the brush. He is long haired and gets knots pretty easily. The product made his fur look wet for a couple minutes then dried. I’d say you’re better off using water in a spray bottle. We liked the smell of the product, but I’d skip on this if your cat has a sensitive stomach or licks himself a lot. ... show more

BAILEY, you DO have a HIT with your detangler spray! I prefer using organic, safe, and as natural as possible products on ALL of the bodies in my home! Your detangling spray is the BEST product of this type that I have ever used, including the safe human products that I have used with my dogs. My Service Dog is extremely tender with any of her care and she was more comfortable with my using this product to help remove her tangles than any other product I have tried over the years. She is also a very Senior dog that I originally rescued which means that the combing and brushing parts of her grooming must be done when she is wet and in the shower on my lap. I found this fantastic unique grooming brush for dogs here and I also bought one for my human self to use with my fine, delicate hair. Does your company have an option for customers to try samples of your other animal products? I would really like to help with that. My brother is a Veterinarian and I always tell his office when I have found commercially available products and equipment pertaining to my own animals to be shared. My dogs are always beautifully groomed ( by me) which means that many people ask me how it is accomplished. ... show more
